I think a lot of people forget that Namjoon is so young. He was 19 internationally when they debuted. He is only a year older than Jimin and Taehyung and the maknae of the hyung line. At 19 he carried the hopes and dreams of six other boys and a company close to bankruptcy and it’s easy to cringe at 2013 Namjoon. He tried too hard, he made mistakes, he did expensive girl, his hair was stupid, and named himself Rap Monster! But 2013 Namjoon was also the one who was hungry for success, who lived diligently, produced music, wrote lyrics, and pushed forward despite an entire industry and underground artists he once respected insulting and degrading him and his brothers. 2013 Namjoon was desperate and terrified to show the world his heart and soul, and the layers peeled back revealed the kindest and wisest soul. So I love 2013 Namjoon. I love him to bits. I love his stupid hair, his sunglasses, his try hard attitude, his cringey, terrible mistakes, because 2013 Namjoon is what made 2019 Namjoon. He carried the weight of the world on his shoulders and turned it into a beautiful strength.

This gives me chills. The fact that something so simple can be such a poignant placemarker in life. The fact that this first listen will tuck itself away in your memory and that the 87th listen will draw memories out of that safe place your brain is keeping especially for that album. What a gorgeous little treasure to share only between you and your younger self.

there’s no rule as to how big or how small you’re allowed to dream. if you just want a small home and an orange kitchen and four cats that’s just as reasonable of a goal to work for as a big new york penthouse. and if all you really want is a simplistic career that isn’t the center of your life then that’s just as valid as dreaming of becoming a famous fashion designer or ceo. i know everyone keeps urging you to dream big, but dreams can be as simple and small as you want. they’ll always be valid. you decide how you want to live and what kind of life you want, no one else.

I feel like instead of saying “dream big” we should say “dream vividly.”

I think having a good image of what you want is more important than the scale of the dream.

Στη ζωή σου ποτέ δεν συναντάς τυχαία άτομα.. πρέπει να καταλάβεις ότι το σύμπαν σου στέλνει κάθε στιγμή ανθρώπους που μπορούν να σε βοηθήσουν στη ζωή σου, που έχουν κάτι να σου δώσουν, κάτι να σου δείξουν, ακόμα και να σε ξεκουνησουν από μια κατάσταση.. κάθε άνθρωπο που συναντάς δεν πρέπει να τον αντιμετωπίζεις το ίδιο, πρέπει να έχεις την εσωτερική ωριμότητα να δεις τι έχεις να σου προσφέρει ο καθένας και να δεις πιο εις βάθος να δεις τι σκοπό έχει ο καθένας.. όταν συναντάς έναν άνθρωπο με τον οποίο έχετε εξαιρετική χημεία, άψογη επικοινωνία και πρωτοφανή οικειότητα πόσο τυχαία μπορείς να θεωρείς ότι ήρθε στη ζωή σου.. ειδικά στις μέρες μας που είναι εξαιρετικά δύσκολο να βρεις αληθινούς ανθρώπους, όταν σου τυχαινει κάτι τέτοιο και το αναγνωρίζεις, έχεις ήδη κάνει το βασικό βήμα, γιατί από εκεί και πέρα να μην κάνεις κ το επόμενο που θα είναι να δεις με ποιον τρόπο θα τον κρατήσεις αυτόν τον άνθρωπο? μπορεί να είσαι σε μια κατάσταση, σε μια σχέση, που να είναι οκ αλλά μήπως έχεις απλώς βολευτεί? μήπως θα πρέπει να κάνεις μόνος σου αυτή την εσωτερική αναζητηση να δεις ποιος κ τι αξίζει περισσότερο στη ζωή σου? κ όχι μόνο να κοιτάς το παρόν αλλά και το μέλλον.. ποιος άνθρωπος που συναντάς θα συμβάλει στο να σε κάνει εσένα καλύτερο άνθρωπο? ποιος άνθρωπος μπορεί να σου προσφέρει αυτό που πραγματικά λαχταράει η ψυχή σου? ποιος άνθρωπος μπορεί να σε καταλάβει απόλυτα όσο δύσκολο και αν είναι αυτό? διάλεξε σοφά τους άνθρωπο που έχεις στη ζωή σου και κρίνε ακόμα πιο σοφά αυτούς που έρχονται και ποιοι απ αυτούς αξίζουν πραγματικά.. μπορεί μερικές φορές οι συνθήκες να μην είναι ιδανικές, αλλά αν περιμένεις μια ζωή να είναι οι συνθήκες ιδανικές τότε θα σπαταλησεις μια ζωή περιμένοντας….

Στη ζωή σου ποτέ δεν συναντάς άτομα τυχαία.. όλοι έρχονται για να σου δείξουν κάτι.. άλλοι να σε βάλουν σε σκέψεις και άλλοι να σε βγάλουν απι σκέψεις.. άλλοι να σου δείξουν τι θες και άλλοι να σου δείξουν τι δεν θες.. άλλοι να σου δείξουν τι αξίζεις και άλλοι τι δεν αξίζεις.. άλλοι για να σου δώσουν και άλλοι για να πάρουν.. όλοι όμως τους εξυπηρετούν κάποιο σκοπό, τον οποίο εσύ μπορεί να μην είσαι σε θέση να δεις καθαρά εκείνη τη στιγμή αλλά με τον καιρό θα καταλάβεις.. όλες οι καταστάσεις που περνάς κρύβουν μια ένταση, άλλες πιο μεγάλη άλλες πιο μικρή, άλλες πιο έντονη άλλες όχι τόσο.. οι εντάσεις αυτές προέρχονται από το γεγονός ότι δεν είσαι αναίσθητος και νιώθεις πράγματα, οπότε είναι απολύτως φυσιολογικές!! όταν περάσουν κάτσε με ηρεμία και σοφία και δες αν το κάθε άτομο αξίζει να είναι στη ζωή σου και αξίζει το χρόνο σου και δες το τι σου δίνει, όπως επίσης κάτσε και σκέψου τον λόγο που αυτό το άτομο αυτή τη συγκεκριμένη περίοδο ήρθε στη ζωή σου.. διότι όπως είπαμε και στην αρχή κανένας άνθρωπος δεν έρχεται τυχαία στη ζωή σου!!!

Είναι αλήθεια τελικά.. δεν σε τρελαίνει αυτό που ήδη ξέρεις, ήδη έχεις ακούσει, ήδη σου έχουν πει, αλλά αυτό που σκέφτεσαι ότι ίσως συμβαίνει ή ότι ίσως θα συμβεί.. εκεί νιώθεις ανήμπορος να δράσεις διότι γνωρίζεις ότι δεν μπορείς να το ελέγξεις, δεν είναι στο χέρι σου να το βοηθήσεις να γίνει ή να το αποτρέψεις από το να γίνει… και μένεις με τη σκέψη του τι μπορεί να γίνει και εύχεσαι απλώς αβοήθητος πλέον με όλη σου την ψυχή να γίνει ή να μην γίνει.. αυτές οι σκέψεις είναι που σου διαλύουν τελείως το μυαλό.. που σου τρώνε την ψυχή.. που σε στραγγίζουν από κάθε στάλα ελπίδας…
