Adrian Hummell&Amanda Duncan make a pair of dancers natarajasana. This posture takes open shoulders, a flexible upper spine, and a decent amount of balance! Practice slowly and patiently, don’t rush it!
From our shoot with Karen Buchsbaum at Pure Om Bethesda.
What an awesome backbend for day 18 of #backtobackbends! Adrian Hummell in full wheel! Join him today at @pureombethesda for an asana workshop on standing head to knee, standing bow, and balancing stick.
Day 13 variation of @cyogalab #backbendnoend #kapotasana variation. I walked it down the wall and did a straight arm camel with knees and feet together. Really focusing on lifting through the chest in this one! I don’t usually practice this, but I think I will more in the future!
Feeling bendy after a fun class with Adrian Hummell at @bikramarlington! Deep backbend, this one took years of practice and also a lot of trust in myself that I could get in (and back out, cause that’s important too )
Part of the salutes to gods and goddesses sequence. Stability for this part comes from pushing the knee and shin down. From there it’s a matter a spine flexibility.
