There are no special tricks or techniques to do this pose, it’s a matter of maintaining a regular yoga practice. Work on not only the spine, but the shoulders and hips too. Flexibility in those areas are needed to bend this way.

Standing Bow One of my favorites. It’s a perfect balance of strength, flexibility, and balance

Standing Bow

One of my favorites. It’s a perfect balance of strength, flexibility, and balance. 

Kick the standing leg down to leverage the splits. The arms stretch in opposite directions in order for the spine to backbend, allowing the feet alignment.
