Sketched out a cover illustration for issue 1 of River & Ash.
Currently, I have no plans to draw the full comic, but I’m having tons of fun writing it! (Already halfway through issue 7.) And these covers are bringing me joy, so you can probably expect a few more, especially since this one only features River and not Ash.
If anyone would be interested in reading the issues in script form, please let me know!

Behind The Fear
darkness closing around the energy
suffering inside her chest,
dripping down like ink,
keeping in the light piercing
through the bleeding void

The Arcana
once past these doors, it is every soul for themselves,
let out to run, hide and fight,
make it until dawn
and survive the game of madness
she looked up into the dark sky,
the Arcana above them all
two triangles in a diamond representing
mountains in front of the setting sun
the dusty smell of the wildflowers was surrounding her,
the desert stretching wide.
they were not alone in this game.
people of the sands.
it was their territory.
when a hand covered her mouth,
she didn’t bother to scream,
no-one was out here to hear her anyway.
she was in the hands of the enemy now.
she wouldn’t make it until the setting moon at dawn

Cover illustration design for a scientific journal in development, the protective umbrella of human body – T lymphocyte cell in personification, dresses like the martial actor of Chinese opera, wearing a T cell-like cap, he uses his fiery keen eyes to distinguish the four variants of the Corona virus: Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta. The viruses are all depicted as wind and fire wheels from Chinese martial arts, hinting at their extremely fast escape speed.

The Plague: Has one of my all time favs and now one of four books I read for a second time.

My Family Four Floors Up written by Caroline Stutson, illustrated by Celia Krampien and published by Sleeping Bear Press, 2018.
I got some copies of the most recent book I illustrated in the mail. It’s a sweet story about a little girl, her puppy and cat and follows their day with lots of rhyming, repetition and references to colour. Here is the cover and some interior spreads that I like. Challenge 142: Lifebook Magazine-Issue #67-“Random”: Drip
I can’t get over how much fun I had working on this challenge. It’s been a good while since I’ve leaned fully into random concepts for my work ( just collecting beautiful references for no particular reason other then they make me smile ) and I gotta say, I missed it!
I may go back in to soften a thing or two but I’m so pleased with where this challenge has led me
