7th June Black Lives Matter protest, London
After yesterday’s BLM protest in London
Hey, my name is Liam and I … make things.
I uh take items and junk and I have an ability to bond them together.
Give me a handle from a gun and a dozen forks and I could make a knife or gun.
I can even mesh technology together and … sometimes I can control what it becomes, or maybe I’m just lucky at guessing. I made a helicopter thing, once out of some junk I found in an abandoned house.
Years ago when I was a kid, my home town was attacked by some kind of alien. He alien wanted to build a ship to leave our world, but he was physically weak and needed slaves. So he used his powerful psychic talents to force us to build him a ship.
We spent weeks as his slaves, a lot of us died and he didn’t care, he only cared how quickly the ship was made. But our minds were filled with information and knowledge on how to construct his vessel.
Some soldiers showed up to stop him but we forced them away. The alien was getting upset and put some of his power into a bunch of us in order to activate our latent psychic abilities.
With these new powers we were better able to work and fight off the soldiers.
Long story short, the soldiers killed almost everyone and the alien died. But me and 12 others got the left over psychic energy, making us VERY powerful.
Most of them went mad, one simply disappeared, and another was taken by the military.
After everything that had happened, I lost almost all of my powers and I was bounced into foster homes after my mind was wiped.
But one day I regained my memories and I got new powers. Everything the alien understood of combining matter and energy was in my head and I could build almost anything.
So I was visited by the Company and they recruited me as an engineer.
After the battle with Kain, I was contacted by our mutual friend and he said he had a new job opening.
So now I fight monsters and try to save the world while making money.

Note: This isn’t hate towards anyone in particular. I am gay myself, I’ve liked women for as long as I can remember. Honestly the fact I have to mention that twice will kinda prove to be a good point if I get any negative feed back.
Now of course I can say there are some instances where people shouldn’t feel proud but this isn’t really about those things.
I’ve come to a sad conclusion and realization of some things when it comes to LGBTQ or people who support it. I do support everyone who feels like they should be proud of being Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Trans or Queer.
BUT there is something that needs to be stated. A lot of certain people in the community who come off as say asexual or Pansexual or even Straight.
I don’t give a fuck what anyone says. You should never hate on someone whose proud of being who they are regardless if it’s Hetero, Ace or Homo. I’ve noticed a lot of LGBTQ people have been going out of there way to signal out straight people. What makes me really mad about this is it makes us look like fucking hypocrites.
You sit there and shame someone for feeling proud to be straight, hate them for just being proud to be themselves and think it’s okay?
With fucking logic like that it’s just as okay for a straight person to say we shouldn’t feel proud of who we are and before people say stupid shit like “It’s different” or “It took a lot for us to get where we are.” I know that shit happens and I know people are attacked for being in any part of the LGBTQ community just for loving someone or who you are. I am a lesbian myself and I have faced some of those people but why should we do the same
I’ve met artists who we’re straight and we’re actually afraid to create characters who we’re gay because they’ve had people get on their case for not being gay therefore you shouldn’t have a gay oc. It’s happened and I’ve seen it happen. People attack others for stupid shit and this isn’t any better.
While I don’t find the “It took a lot for us to get where we are.” to be a horrible argument or reason for being defensive. It is not a good reason. In signaling out anyone even straight people. You’re making us look as bad as they made us look back then.
Times have changed The LGBTQ community is suppose to be a community where we celebrate who we are, where we accept others for who they are and yet to this day I’m still seeing people attack straight people for claiming they’re proud to be straight?
The fuck is wrong with us?, It’s shit like that, thats what makes me ashamed to be apart of the LGBTQ community when people like us go after people like them.
We are hypocrites at it’s finest when we do stupid shit like that.
I’m not saying a lot of straight people haven’t hurt you, haven’t probably insulted you but there’s just as many good ones out there as their are bad just as there are many good and bad gay, bi, trans, lesbians, what have you. We aren’t saints, we all have bad things about us, we all do shit we aren’t proud of.
And I’m not labeling all LGBTQ members as bad people just those toxic select few that go out of there way to make straight people feel as bad as they made us feel.
We need to stop being hypocrites and start doing what we preach. Accept and let people be proud of who they are. Regardless if they’re straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, Ace or Queer.
You want to be proud fucking be proud.
NOTE: This is not directed at anyone in particular. It’s just something I’ve noticed for a long time and it’s been bugging me for the longest time. If you don’t approve of what I say or like it then maybe you’re part of the problem who knows but don’t waste my time with your hate comments or share me just to mock and insult what I’m saying.
BONUS: YES YOU DEMISEXUALS COUNT TOO YOU’RE JUST AS AWESOME AS ANY STRAIGHT, GAY, LESBIAN, ACE, PAN, TRANS or QUEER individuals. YOU MATTER.
