Anti Impulsive Purchase Pouch

As someone who often makes impulsive buying decisions with an ungodly amount of money I don’t have, I needed to find a solution to make me stop.

I usually buy new things when I feel lonely or stressed – kind of a way to fill the emptiness. Waiting for all the new stuff to arrive is such an amazing feeling, but… once I hold them in my hands, I feel just as empty as before, while feeling horrible for spending so much money.

That’s why I had this little idea of making a little “Anti Impulsive Purchase Pouch”, to remind myself that it’s not always necessary to buy new things, and I wanted to share this little ‘ritual’ with you.

Materials I used:

Let me tell you one thing first!

This little pouch isn’t about a set amount of items that you’ll have to put inside. It’s about you becoming creativewith whatever you have at home, so you won’t need to spend any money to do so.

I’ve opened all my drawers and digged out several items I found fitting for this very cause, and this was the first step in understanding something important:

“I own so many things and I don’t even realize that.”

That’s right – sometimes we only look at items we don’t have and feel the urge to buy these, but we often forget all these stunning items we already have at home.

So here is what I found for myself:

  • A silvern pouch in which I put all my items. If you don’t have a pouch, you can just use an old sock, or an old shirt, or whatever else you can find! It’s all about creativity, and making the best out of it!
  • Afew coins I’d found, because this is all about being aware of how much money I spend, and on what I’ll spend it.
  • A lovely piece of Clear Quartz, charged with my intention to make wise buying decisions from now on. I am someone who asks their crystals for assistance first, and if it feels right, I know this crystal is up to help me!
  • A tiny bell, which, to me, symbolizes an ‘alarm bell’. Whenever I’m close to make a new purchase, I want an alarm bell to ring inside my head that makes me hesitate.
  • Adried leaf of white sage, charged in moonlight. I absolutely lovewhite sage! It makes me feel happy and complete whenever I smell this scent, so of course, it has to go into my little bag!
  • AsymbolI’ve drawn with closed eyes. I love making symbols for certain purposes, but I’m not really creative at all! That’s why I just close my eyes and let the pen run down the paper. If I like it, I’ll keep it as my personal symbol for this very reason.
  • And lastly, a key pendant I’d bought years ago. This is the key to self control!

I’ve cleansed and charged all these items with sage and intention, because that’s just what I enjoy doing. Let all the negativity out, while performing my own little ritual with the intention to not buy so many things I don’t need anymore.

While putting every item slowly into my little bag, I repeated the following affirmations over and over:

“I will only buy what I really need.”

“I make wise purchase decisions.”

“I’m creative with what I have.”

“I will think clearly before making a purchase.”

After closing the bag, I held it in my hands and moved it close to my heart, then repeated the affirmations yet again while imagining to cast silvern light into it.

And once that was done, I put it under my pillow, where I’ll leave it for quite a while.

I already keep thinking about it a lot, so I know it works just as intended!

discovering-my-way:

You will need: lemon and your favorite essential oil.

I love waiting tables, it’s fun, keeps you on your feet and each day is diffrerent. Sure there are jerks out there, but most people are generally nice. This spell is two part.

First before work I anoint myself with the rune wunjo (it kinda looks like a pointy “P”) so that I may bring comfort, joy and harmony into the lives of my guests and co-workers. As I do this, I envision how I will be able to make others smile that day. I also anoint myself with the rune algiz (just Google it) so as to ward off any evil. Basically I do this to keep the jerks at bay that day.

When I get to work, I arrive a little early and if I need a bit extra cash, such as when bills aproach or I would like to gift someone with something nice, I do this spell:

I squeeze a bit of lemon onto my fingers and anoint my tables with the rune fehu on the underside of the table. As I do this I envision $5, $10 and $20 bills being left on the table for me by happy, generous guests. At the end of the day I take a moment to give thanks for the blessing given to me as I count all the money I earned.

This WORKS!! Seriously.

A money altar is an altar dedicated specifically to money matters. You can have altar for any area of your life that you want or are prioritizing right now, for example many people have love altars if they are trying to attract new love or are looking to sustain a long term relationship. Since money is at the center of my life right now, stacking it, playing with it, spending it, earning it, It’s a perfect time to share it with you here.

There is a lot of money spells out there and a lot of them work, but attracting more money into your life and living differently because of that money is about building a relationship with money.

Trusting money, loving money and knowing money loves you. People who don’t trust money think that its always running out, it doesn’t grow on trees, there’s always more month than money, and that they can’t rise into a new financial situation. Those kind of thoughts make it harder to attract and keep more money.

Building a money altar allows you to start a relationship with money. At my money altar I simply started with $5 and a white candle, and everyday (mostly) I would light the candle, and touch the money. I felt its energy and I visualized having more of it. I’m currently building a new altar since I moved (pics to come).

Things you can add to a money altar:

  • Real money- $1, $5, $10, $20, $100, whatever you have and whatever makes you feel comfortable to start with. Not only does putting real money on the altar bring the energy it is an act of trust. I’ve been there where $5 is a lot of money to put on a table and not spend but it is crucial you put real money here.
  • Crystals- My favorite money stone is malachite but I also included rose quartz on my altar because for me money is tied to my self worth and rose quartz helps with it. You can use any money drawing stones (like a lodestone!)
  • A honey jar- If you’ve made a honey jar for anything money related putting it on your money altar is a great idea! It will help keep it charged and bring more energy to the space.
  • Candles- Everybody knows I loveeee my candles so its a must for me. Flames add energy for me so having them there is crucial.
  • Money herbs- patchouli, cinnamon, bay leaves, all spice, orange peels, basil, any herbs that you would use for attracting money.

Things to do at a money altar:

  • Visualize- Visualization is huge part of my spell casting and life in general. If I can see it my mind then I can feel it in my body and then I can actually get my head around it and call it in. All my spells start by imagining it already done
  • Journal- I’m a writer so words are important to me and can move me through a situation quickly. If i’m feeling freaked out about money or I don’t know how I’m gonna pay X instead of freaking out I write about it at the altar. Writing about it makes me feel better and releases those negative emotions and keeps me from constantly thinking “is this even working?” I tell clients this all the time, things come to you easier if you are detached and certain of the outcome.
  • Money spells/petitions- I do money spells, and write petitions for things I need at the altar. I ONLY do my own spells here. I have a little box or area I keep petitions in and trust that those issues are being handled.

Having a relationship with money is like having a relationship with anything else. Would you constantly question if your partner was gonna run out on you and leave you with nothing? (hopefully not) So the goal is to not do this with money. Building a relationship with money has been life changing for me, and while you can do this many ways, building an altar has really helped me. An altar is something that holds a lot of energy in one place so having a specific altar for money has solved issues and built my trust with money faster.

A reminder that I still have a spot left for mentoring. In mentoring we work on whatever it is you want to work on attracting into your life. New love, money, new job, a business, whatever it is, I am an expert on how to become a magnet for things you want and call them into your life. This is offer is NOT hoodoo specific and open to anyone of any background but if you do practice I will happily infuse that into our lessons. For more info DM me, this is a time sensitive offer.

I hope this helped ya’ll, happy casting!

http://www.namaii.com/manekineko/maneki-neko-types.html

Y’know I reblogged this a bit ago and was saved from financial probation and getting kicked out of school because of it, just mere months from graduation. Got a call from the financial aid advisor telling me that they made a mistake with filing my account (or some other sort of clerical error) and said that, basically, they owe me money. Welp.

Last time I reblogged the money cat, I won two $100 gift cards at work.

Don’t let me down

finally a $ cat reference sheet!! bless you!
