#song of achilles
Don’t say you love the anime if you haven’t read the manga
No because I just finished reading The Song Of Achilles
⚠️ spoilers ahead!!⚠️
the way that Patroclus died, pretending to be Achilles, reminded me of something.
In pjo, Silena died pretending to be Clarisse.
have a great rest of your day :D
Here are some adult fiction books that are perfect for fans of Greek mythology!
WHERE THE FUCK IS THE OVERABUNDANT LOVE OF CIRCE by Madeline Miller??!?!?!???
This glorious piece of literature is constantly overshadowed by song of Achilles. I am not saying it is undeserving of the love but both deserve attention!! I see both recommended everywhere but where is the fan art?? Where are the memes?? WHERE ARE THE APPRECIATION POSTS?!
This fucking book is the beautiful love child of a cottage core witch and gay Greek mythology nerd are you fucking kidding me.
This story is about a goddess who had to struggle to find her strength and powers within herself. She had to overcome others view of her to prove her value. She is relatable, funny, sexy and a fucking witch what more do you want?? She learns to be cunning and intelligent among the other gods who are blinded by their arrogance.
I want playlists inspired by her! I want fan art of her garden with her lioness by her side! I want Hermès and Circe couple memes! I want long ass discussion posts about this book!! Where are you??!?
I understand this book isn’t trending anymore but if anything that makes me more confused. I was expecting to find fandom material from the past two years but no! Nothing! Nowhere!
Hello, if you’re looking for me now, I may be unavailable cause I’m currently lost in an new obsession.
Thanks for your comprehension.
(Help me).
and maybe I was always meant to know oflove
but never have it
touch it, caress it even, but never hold it
sniff it but never inhale it
I hold my hand out into the dark
take a light swim in the murky waters of trust
but I never saw that light
the warmth, the pounding of the heart as the words ‘I found it’ echo in the dark chambers of my heart
I read about it, write about it, I’m in love with nothing and everything except for anyone that can stay
Isn’t Can You Hold Me by NF and Britt Nicole basically Patrochilles
have you read a book that made your eyes water at the end so you could not read the book properly but you wanted that to happen because you did not want to complete that book and when the tear finally fell you felt relieved but you also wanted to forget you ever read the book just to reread it and feel that flutter of heart again
Happy Pride month! And what better time to share my latest book haul than now? I’ve heard only good things about these three books and I can’t wait ‘til I have time to read them!
Digisketching from Song of Achilles, and using pencil and paper for the first time in almost two years for my hero.
dudes one of the most comical moments in tsoa is when achilles comes back to their camp on pelion after speaking with thetis and just RUSHES off to bed. like patroclus actively notices that achilles is like “oh chiron you’re soooooo tired pat and i will leave you alone now” and dashes back to the cave, and then when patroclus follows like 5 minutes later achilles is already IN BED waiting and basically blurts out “MY MOM CAN’T SEE US HERE” while looking exclusively at the ceiling bc he’s so nervous!! idk this just makes me chuckle every time i reread it bc achilles was so ready for some action that the very day thetis tells him she can’t see them he makes his oh-so-conspicuous moves
not to mention when pat hears this he freezes and he’s like “um uh” and can’t utter a sentence of his own bc he REALIZES
THIS SEEN MAKES ME SO HAPPY IT ALMOST MAKES UP FOR HOW MUCH I CRIED AT THE END
the unofficial official art for tsoa
“And perhaps it is the greater grief, after all, to be left on earth when another is gone.”
—Madeline Miller, The Song of Achilles.
