Sparred with some great fighters tonight with amazing potential, but I held my own and gave them some good shots back, especially towards the last few rounds. You couldn’t tell though, right? Roughly 8 weeks left until my first fight. Got to step it up so I am not giving them the opportunity to make me look this way. Another evening of sparring. This time I barely got touched despite sparring with the same speedy fighter from last week and some other larger hard hitters. I am really pleased with how well my defence has improved. I took a few hits intentionally to get inside but guarded up well and left the session without a mark. Footwork has really come on as well as handspeed and head movement. Good movement is a good base in jiujitsu. Of course the belts and experiences will make a difference, but Majas constant moving scrabbling and die hard attitued will be an huge advantage later on.

Little update; I’ve been crazy busy with work and personal things recently, so my training has unfortunately been put on the back burner. Today I trained for just an hour and it was sooo fun! Everything was really sloppy, but I had a good time it’s tough getting out of a bad routine and making a new productive one, but when you do it’s soooo worth it hope you’re healthy and well!
