“Sephora will start selling entry-level witch kits in October.”
All right witches, listen up.
Sephora is to begin selling a “witch kit” next month featuring a tarot deck, fragrances, a sage bundle, and a rose quartz crystal for $42.
I think it’s wonderful that witchcraft is making a resurgence, but what I don’t think is wonderful, is that a huge corporation like Sephora is trying to tap into this market.
Why don’t I like it?
- Because Sephora has their fingers in enough pies and generates over $4 billion in revenue per year.
- Because witchcraft produce and supplies should be provided by people with knowledge on the practise(s) and who care enough to make sure their products are ethical, of a high quality, and non-appropriative.
- Because Sephora will be stealing business from actual witchcraft and occult centric shops who likely don’t make huge sums of money anyway due to the niche nature of the market.
- Because Sephora doesn’t need the fucking money!
So, I urge you to share this post and refrain from purchasing this “entry-level” witch kit (and any future witchcraft related product) from Sephora. Instead, support small, witch-owned businesses. We need you and we’ve got your backs.
Also they’re selling the sage for “smudging” which, as we all
shouldknow, is a Native American specific practice. Seeing sage (white sage at that considering it’s fucking endangered) marketed by a big corporation is especially unsettling. If you’re looking you get intro witchcraft, don’t buy from a huge money mongerer looking to be “trendy.” Support a small witchy business! Check out the many shops here on witchblr. Especially consider buying from witches of color!
What You’ll Need :
- Study Guide (Has to be finished!)
- Yellow/White Candle
- Calcite
- Glass Bowl
I. Light the Candle
II. Hold the Calcite in one hand, place the other over the study guide. Imagine the energy of the work absorbing.
III. Rip a little piece [of your Study Guide] and place it into the glass bowl, light it up and inhale the smoke. (If you cannot inhale the smoke, simply place your hand over it and visualize it seeping into your skin.) Then, chant :
“Study, study, keep in my mind. Study, know, so I won’t be so blind. Know, know, the correct answer I’ll write. Know, memorize, so I get the test right. Memorize, memorize, this test I shall pass. Memorize, forever, so I’ll pass this class.”
Good luck to those who have tests!

❄️Reminder: It’s that time of year!❄️
Don’t forget that the earth is presenting us with a lot of ingredients for spellwork. Collecting things that fall off trees because of the changing seasons is extremely important and just fun.
Some things to remember.
- Wear proper protection when harvesting. (gloves are your friend)
- Bring sustainable containers.
- Don’t forget offerings. - Fruit & Veggie peels work great. Also old tea leaves.
- Don’t rip things off. Since there’s so much already on the ground, it can be considered rude to take what’s not offered.
Knowing how to harvest is an important skill when working with witchcraft. If you’re a baby witch or just don’t have as much knowledge regarding harvesting. Make sure you do your research before diving in.
Happy hunting!

✨Sleepy Witch’s Manifestation Cookie Dust✨
Hello, my greenies! While I love baking and taking the time to really create something delicious, there are also many times where I just wanna pop those pre-made lovely cookies in the oven. So, I have a little witchy coating that you can dust onto your cookies that can help you manifest good energy, or whatever your heart and soul need.
Because this is for general use and manifestation, feel free to play with the recipe as you see fit. When I create any type of dust or coating, I kind of just use my eyes as measurements, so I’ll do my best to give you somewhat of an idea. ***Depends on how many cookies/baked goods you’re making.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ tbsps of ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp of brown sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla (or a small drop)
- pinch of salt
- itty bitty pinch of ground ginger
- pinch of ground cloves
Directions
- Add all the ingredients into a bowl and mix clockwise and say the chant at the end of the recipe or your own. Make sure you’re really thinking about what you’re looking to manifest with this recipe. Say some affirmations and visualize your body being filled and coated in this energy.
- Once the ingredients are all squished together and make a flakey crumbly dust, you can either roll the cookies in the dust or sprinkle it on top. ***I love using this on the Holiday Pillsbury Sugar Cookies! Those are my childhood favorites!
- Bake the cookies and enjoy when done!
Chant: Just as the moon pushes and pulls the tides, I am in control of my energy. I am strong. I __insert desired manifestation__.
I hope you all enjoy and have a wonderful spooky season! Don’t forget that trick or treat ends on the start of 31st! Let me know which cookies you use this spread on and your samhain plans!
Best of wishes,
Kenzie
A Journal Series for Witches
A Journal Series for Witches - I recently released my first witchcraft journal in a brand new series of journals. Fine it on Amazon: https://bit.ly/herbwitch
#witchcraft #witch #journal #journaling #bookofshadows #indieauthor #writingcommunity #booksIt’s no secret that I’m attracted to the dark and macabre. Many of my stories reflect that – just look at the genre I love to write in! A lesser known fact would be that I’ve been a practicing witch for over half my life, following a Celtic path. I would say it’s “traditional,” but I was heavily influenced by Wicca and have created a sort of mixture that’s suited me well in life.
