Okay I know everyone likes to critique the part in the Blood of Olympus where Percy says “Greeks, lets fight stuff” as opposed to the organized Romans since the Greeks were actually super organized in the Battle of Manhattan. We like to call it crappy writing.
BUT
Did you ever think about how many of the experienced campers died in the Battle of Manhattan? Camp Half Blood repopulated a little after that, but they only had a YEAR to recover from their losses and train the new campers. A year. No wonder they weren’t too notch organized.
They are child soldiers. Give them a break.
I think we need to talk more about Will’s sacrifice in Blood of Olympus. By that point, the Apollo cabin had a pretty solid streak of losing a head counselor each battle. Will was well aware of that. When they were messing with the catapults, he knew someone needed to distract the Romans. He was willing to make a sacrifice for the camp. In fact, he was probably not expecting to make it, why not go out on his own terms? He took off sprinting, accepting his fate, not minding if he’d succeed or not, so long as it bought a couple extra seconds.

But then Nico saved him, took out six Romans at once. Will was surprised, maybe he didn’t have to die?
It probably gave him the motivation he needed to make it through another war, to keep fighting to be there for his siblings.

Okay but Prophetic Will Solace already knows everyone’s sexuality/gender before they even know but he has a really hard time remembering who actually came out so he just has this checklist hidden somewhere to make sure he doesn’t accidentally out someone

Currently thinking about: that scene in Blood of Olympus where someone tells Nico that the Argo II is in danger and his first concern is for Hazel, then Jason.
