For the first time in my life I am trying detox dieting. I successfully did two days along with my other resolutions of eating clean, waking up early and doing an hour of yoga daily.
Well this morning before my alarm even rang, I woke up extremely nauseous and a few minutes later there I was sick as a dog.
For the first time ever trying a detox and only surviving two days into it, well let’s just say it hasn’t been the best experience.
I can’t blame it all on the detox pills though, I have been drinking body health oolong and green tea blend. The tea has nothing diet about it and it’s not like some cure all for weight loss like a FitTea (which by the way has anyone ever tried it? Does it even work?). The detox pills in itself aren’t a cure all fiber thing either, they have dandelion which is good for detoxing your liver, especially after drinking!
All in all, I don’t think I am going to stop my detox just because of this one bad day. I think, I may just take only three of the six recommended pills and maybe drink my one tea.
If that doesn’t solve the issue and I’m back to this I guess I’ll just have to tweak as I go along. Ever since I started doing yoga I have been more mindful about what my body tells me. Your body is amazing and will tell you exactly how it feels, all you have to do is listen.
Has anyone had an experience like this with detoxing? Any tips you have for me?
