I really need to remember that I don’t have to create grand master works of art for my work to have value. I equally need to remember it is okay if I don’t finish it all in a single session and that making time to allow for little bits of cumulative progress to finish a piece is okay. I also need to remember this for myself, that progress in small cumulative measures is still progress and that patience is hard but necessary as equating progress to immediate results or only a final result and getting frustrated when I don’t see it and then giving up for a time isn’t conducive to achieving any sort of goal. It doesn’t help me to be this way and I’m making myself so very unhappy.
The con is over!!!! And I am (barely) alive!!! I’m gonna take a few days to rest but I’ll be preparing everything to relaunch my bigcartel so I can sell some con leftovers and open preorders for the Bell’s Hells tarot cards.
I won’t be able to sell the cards leftovers tho because I noticed there was a printing mistake and the reverse side is off-center and it’s making me. SO MAD. I don’t know if I’ll try to reprint them with the reverse side design again and hope that they will turn out okay this time or print them with no reverse side at all since they’re like. prints designed to look like tarot cards and not actual tarot cards. We’ll see.

“Understandable,” Morris replied.
Raz shifted in his seat. “On second thought, maybe we should have waited a week or something for this to settle before—”
Morris shuffled his notes, the fwip of paper against paper drowning out Raz. “So, now that you’re an official Junior Psychonaut—”
“Hey, you are, t—”
Morris cleared his throat and gave Raz a glance. “Now that you’re an official Junior Psychonaut, what are your plans?”
i am, to the very core of my being, exhausted by how many people think even the most basic fucking textbook transphobia is excusable when it’s directed at trans men
here’s a recap of a conversation i just witnessed in a tiktok comment section:
person A: here’s why it’s actually okay to say trans men are women sometimes
person B: that sounds like bullshit, do you also apply that logic to trans women?
person A: yes i do, it’s also okay to say trans women are men sometimes
person B: okay, now i know not to take anything you say seriously
why has this person decided that saying it’s okay to misgender trans men is only bad if they also use that logic to misgender trans women? when did we decide that misgendering trans men is okay as long as it’s just us getting misgendered? why was this blatantly transphobic perspective still seen as credible when it was already very openly arguing that it’s okay to misgender trans men? why were they so willing to give this transphobe the benefit of the doubt until their argument moved beyond trans men and involved trans women? is it really that easy for these “allies” to write trans men off as an acceptable sacrifice?
misgendering is transphobia 101, it’s as simple and stereotypical as transphobia gets, but somehow it’s still seen as “not that bad” when it’s only directed at us
the idea that some people think manhood magically cancels out oppression isn’t new to me by any means, but i thought at the very least we hadn’t gotten to the point of “man = okay to misgender” yet
