PSA to teenagers and young adults
I have just seen something I have been predicting would happen for a while and I am ENRAGED.
An over-25 adult just convinced a high school student that dating someone in their own age range was pedophilia. (Implication: they should be dating older adults instead.)
The predatory adult has convinced the teenager that they’re right and the teen should cut off contact with other teens.
I’m utterly livid.
I don’t make callout posts here. I would make an exception for this kind of situation, except the teen has now been gaslighted into supporting the older adult, which suggests they expect retaliation if the older adult faces any consequences.
So I will instead ask that people please circulate this post that warns about behavior without naming names, as a warning to other teens.
If you’re a teenager or young adult, and someone gets in your face and tries to tell you that you’re too mature to be dating other people within a few years of your age, especially if they try to suggest that this makes you predatory, block and report them and talk to a trusted adult about it. Please.
.

fHi there peeps, I have noticed that some people have difficulties with these verbs, so let’s make a nice guide on how to use them
Precisar
This one simply means to need.
Ex: Preciso de obter mais gatos - I need to get more catsDever
must, must, must
Ex: Deve fazer o seu trabalho de casa - She must do her homeworkTer de/que
For the people who don’t want any headaches and long boring texts, just remember:
Ter de (gramatically correct) = have to
Ter que (spoken language) = have to
There are some exceptions, but when in doubt, just use “ter de”
Ex: Ainda tenho de alimentar os cães - I still have to feed the dogs.Haver de
Yup, that’s right. You won’t only find this verb in the form of Háat the beginning of sentences, but also just as a real verb. It’s weird because it points to a future action yet it’s present tense. In most cases, it translates to shall
Haver + de indicates an obligation that the person feels to do something. This contrasts with ter + que and dever, where the obligation is imposed from outside. Haver de is used in impersonal constructions only, and gives a strong sense of being obliged to do something.Ex: “Hei-de ser um rei!” disse o jovem D. Afonso Henriques.
“I shall be a king!” said the young D. Afonso Henriques.
So what’s the difference between ter de/que and dever?
same as in English. Dever sounds a bit more formal than ter de/que.

do u guys listen to music in languages that aren’t your first language . and if so what languages
Não é por ti que vivo,
Não foi por ti que fui feito,
Mas o que tenho, sinto,
Então dou-te o meu respeito,
Mas eu não sou rico,
Em amor, coração no peito,
Reconhecimento é o meu pico,
Mas julgamento é a que estou sujeito.
Vives em águas passadas,
Longe da realidade,
Lembras-te de mil álvoradas,
Mas perdes a sanidade,
Com as ideias erradas,
Do que é dedicação e lealdade,
Perdes noções exatas,
Tornas-te relatividade.
Mas eu estou…,
De olhos bem abertos,
Peso pesado na ignorância dos espertos,
Uma mente fechada no nascer dos fetos,
Longe do nada, do tudo e dos certos.
És senhor do teu olhar, do teu egoísmo,
Ancestral no seu picar, perdido no abísmo,
De uma Era ultrapassada,
Mente deveras desregulada,
Caminhante da calçada,
Dos traídores pela calada.
Não sei se vais bem com o impacto das palavras,
Mas que te saiba bem o fogo em que ardes,
Pondera antes de idolatrares ideias parvas,
Perdidas, esquecidas, relembradas pelas larvas.

If I made any mistakes, don´t hesitate and correct me! Your help will be more than appreciated. You can also answer this post with some info about football culture in your country, it would be so interesting! Good studies!~~
Okay, first I want to say, that the easiest language will always be the one you’re interested in. If you have fun while leaning and actually WANT to learn a language, it’ll be always easier than an “easy” language you don’t care about at all. For example if you want to learn Japanese because you loveJapan and their culture, every second learning another language will feel like a waste of time. If you like it = easy. If you don’t like it = hard. What people mean, when they talk about easiest and hardest languages, is how different these languages are, compared to the languages you speak. Because if it’s more different, it will take you longer to learn the new language. There’s this “Language Difficulty Ranking” of the FSI, which shows the easiest and hardest languages for native English speakers. So for this, let’s just say you’re not interested in any language at all and you only speak English as your mother tongue. Then here are the easiest and hardest languages for you.
