Soooooo, this is another of my headcanons: I’ve imagined that there was a full moon in the very first week of school of Remus. So he’s just disappeared after the Sorting Ceremony. Once the full Moon passed, he finally was able to attend his classes and this is the first time he met and spoke “ properly” with Sirius! - - - - it took me really A LOT to finish it!I’m so overwhelmed with work that I couldn’t work on it constantly! sigh!

isn’t it sketchy how white characters get to be described as having sharp jaws, piercing eyes, straight noses, full cheeks, having an innocent glow, etc, and the black characters are described as being black. the asian characters are described as being asian. like ???
“X was a tall girl with long blonde hair that fell perfectly down her shoulders, only a few shades lighter than the sun. A permanent blush adorned her cheeks, but her cheekbones stood out against her otherwise childlike features with such womanly grace.”
But you never really see east asian characters being described as having deep-set, piercing eyes that hold your gaze and never let go. You always see narrow/almond eyes, which doesn’t cover all of asia, which is humongous and literally covers so many different ethnicities, and therefore many different eye shapes. Not to mention, the description usually stops at the eyes. I want to read about their warm-toned skin and perfectly sculpted lips. I want to read about umber skin and long, handsome face and their aquiline nose, altogether making them look more like a statue than a person of flesh and blood. I want to read about black characters as more than just a “dark woman” and maybe a passive hair descriptor. What about her large doe eyes and inviting smile? Why do they always have to be the sassy black friend (edit: I do understand all the cultural and historical ties to that stereotype but ??) AND WHY IS THEIR SKIN ALWAYS COMPARED TO FOOD? Maybe this isn’t a problem and I’m reaching here, but it rubs me the wrong way bro.
So yeah I’d like to romanticise (BUT NOT FETISHISE, THERE’S A DIFFERENCE) non-european shit for once, including in the dark academia world because we all know the europeans were late to the party and got all their knowledge from the arabs, the indians–pretty much everyone else.

Orion Black offers Remus more money than he could’ve dreamed of. The only condition? Stay away from his son.

A slow smile spreads across Orion Black’s face as he writes something down on a piece of paper, and slides it over the broad, wooden desk towards Remus. “Read the number on that paper,” he says confidently. “And tell me again how much you love him.”
To Put a Price On Love
“How much?”
Remus hardly dares to move under the intensity of Orion Black’s scrutinizing gaze. The man is sitting behind his polished wooden writing desk, one large hand holding a pen hovering above some sort of notebook.
Remus is visiting the Black Manor for a couple of days, finally meeting his boyfriend’s family. Much to Remus’ dismay, his boyfriend had been reluctant to take him home, but after some insisting on Remus’ part, he finally agreed. After the first day of staying at the posh manor, Remus had changed his goal of making his boyfriend’s parents like him, to making his boyfriend’s parents not kill him in his sleep.
Orion and Walburga Black are stiff, formal and standoffish people. Their noses are constantly scrunched up in distaste, and their lips pressed in a thin line. They hardly say a word to Remus, and Remus hasn’t once seen them smile. He honestly can’t even imagine it. Where his boyfriend’s silver grey eyes are bright and sparkling with vibrant energy, Walburga Black’s eyes are cold and empty, while Orion Black’s gaze is hard as steel.
That gaze is now intently fixed on Remus, and Remus feels like he’s being weighed and found wanting.
Shortly before Remus Lupin’s fifth birthday, as he slept peacefully in his bed, Fenrir Greyback forced open the boy’s window and attacked him. Lyall reached the bedroom in time to save his son’s life, driving Greyback out of the house with a number of powerful curses. However, henceforth, Remus would be a fully fledged werewolf. Lyall Lupin never forgave himself for the words he had spoken in front of Greyback at the inquiry: ‘soulless, evil, deserving nothing but death’. He had parroted what was the common view of werewolves in his community, but his son was what he had always been – loveable and clever – except for that terrible period at the full moon when he suffered an excruciating transformation and became a danger to everyone around him.
