i have a headcanon that james potter would be a huge swiftie… i feel like he’s the type of guy to appreciate well thought out lyrics and loves to hear stories because his parents read to him a lot as a kid (and all of taylor’s songs have a story behind it.)
he would keep it a secret during his first five years because his friends are all rock and roll and punk or whatever but then sirius catches him listening to some great taylor love song and sirius asks what song it was because he wants to dedicate it to remus and james just lights up because his best friend likes taylor now too.
remus and sirius would definitely be on his case about it at first but then they’ll end up giving it a try for james because well… james is the best person they know, it’s the least they could do. eventually, remus and sirius grow fond of taylor and most nights you’ll find remus blushing and telling sirius to “be quiet, pads” while sirius sings the most over the top rendition of you belong with me to remus in the middle of the common room.
lily would find out about james’ love for taylor swift after peter lets it slip one day and she’d spend the entire duration of their prefect rounds teasing him about it. but james wouldn’t mind because hey, at least she’s talking to me.
before they go their separate ways for the night, james laughs and says, “i know you think it’s silly but if you ever wanted to listen to one of her songs, and i mean really listen, listen to enchanted. i think of you whenever it plays.”
james walks away with a smile and lily’s curiosity gets the best of her and she listens to enchanted for the first time that night. then she listens to it again. and again. and again. and again. until the sun is up and she realizes she’s spent the entire night thinking about james potter and his love for taylor swift and now she thinks she’s falling in love with him too.
Sirius: Can you help me pick out a Halloween costume? Remus: Sure, what are your options? Sirius: I’m torn between a sexy pirate, a sexy nurse, or a sexy nun. After James and Lily had gone into hiding Petunia sent a letter to Lilys old adress. Unaware that Lily was in hiding. In said letter she talked about wanting to meet up and talk and that she’s sorry. It was short, formal. The only thing suggesting they knew each other was the signing and greeting; to Lil, from Tunie.
Lily never recives the letter. Petunia is mad and angry because Lily mever responds. She put part of her heart into it and Lily doesn’t even responds… Then Harry Potter shows up on her doorstep
Imagine Sirius, innocently thrown into prision. No one left that loves him, atleast he doesn’t think anyone does. He’s completly alone and he wonders often. Where is Remus now. Is he trying tonbreak Sirius out? Is he searching for Peter the rat? Was he alone at nights? Had he forgotten about Sirius, was Sirius the only one cursed to forever wonder what if. Did Remus have a wife or a man, kids? A dog. Did the dog remind him of Sirius or had they gotten a small yellow one insyesd if a large black dog. Was Remus still alive. That one hurt the most. Sirius didn’t even know if Remus was still out there.
My hc of marauders lovelife - or more James and co
James sees Lily around december first year and She’s very pretty and that’s where the crush starts. Second year rolls around, now he asks her out she says no. he’s an annoying 12 year old so he asks again. Third year, he’s much cooler now a whole thirteen so he asks her out once a month and then she gets a boyfriend so he stops. Until they break up. fourth year and first half of fifth year is similar.
Fifth year, 1976, the marauders are about to crash. But that’s something James doesn’t know right now and oh, he runs into Regulus once, Twice, thirce. A few times and then they kiss. A lot of more few times. They’re not dating but oh how they would date if it wasn’t for life because they like each other so so much.
First half of sixth year is caos but pretty good. Sirius and Remus are becoming friends again. James and Regulus are falling in love slowly. Lily dumps her boyfriend. Remus finds a girlfriend. Sirius is unhappy. James and Regulus are having a good time… Barty has suddenly become funny. Remus breaks up with his girlfriend. James and Regulus are falling out of love.
Lily likes James, James likes Regulus, Barty likes Regulus. Regulus likes Barty. James likes Lily. Regulus likes James. By January it’s caos again but worse. (Sirius and Remus are fighting again and Peter has been heartbroken)
Lily likes James a bit more than Regulus likes him. James likes Lily a lot. Barty likes Regulus a lot….
Sirius calling himself James older brother and/or calling James his little brother just to annoy James cause he refuses to stand for this slander. Like signing letters to Effy and Monty with ~James older brother~ or stealing James’s letters and sign them ~Sirius little brother~
In their first year Sirius asks Remus what his biggest wish is
Remus says he wish he saw the last full moon
Sirius beams at him and says they can watch the next moon together. Remus just smiles
Three weeks later Remus is sick and Sirius is in an extremly bad mood.
Remus spends the whole full moon alone
The next day Sirius says they’ll watch the next moon together
By the next moon Sirius has forgotten what he said, but Remus remembers. He remembers everytime the moon rises how Sirius made a promise they’d watch the moon together. They never do
