If you don’t believe being asexual has any negative affect on people I was told by a psychiatrist that none of my relationships count because we didn’t have sex, and I can’t say I’m gay since I don’t want to have sex with girls.
and I was taken off my antidepressants because they may be lowering the libido I never had in the first place (plus various other reasons, but still immediately, cold turkey, which should NEVER happen unless they’re switching you to something else)
But aphobia doesn’t exist and asexuals are privileged, right?

at this point is so obvious I’m asexual. people around me would notice if they were educated, seriously

We really need to address the fact that women aren’t more likely to be asexual than men. Ace men are more likely to be closeted especially to themselves because society tells them that they must be sexual/are sex obsessed/be attracted to people and in particular women. And it can be extrememly difficult to look at yourself and say “wow I guess I’m not the way society says I should be”.
Ace men deserve mad respect for figuring themselves out.

You’re still valid. I love you. Your sexuality is valid despite your circumstances.
Can some wonderful ace/aro person please clarify to me that asexual means not feeling sexual attraction but it’s perfectly valid to be ace and also occasionally want to engage in sexual behaviours? Because that’s the only thing stopping me from realising I’m asexual

asexuality is a very very small fraction of the world. Very small. Almost non existent. Ace rep would be like,,, one person. Per film. Per show. Per whatever. I’m not saying that ace rep doesn’t matter, I’m saying that including it in everything or making society change its entire structure just to suit a very small portion of people is absurd.
Why am I not surprised this is coming from a conservative? And where did I say it should be included in everything? We are asking for ONE movie, or ONE show that represents us. And it’s not as small as you think, either. 1% of the world’s population is asexual, which makes 70 million people. Just over 70 million people make up the whole of Germany. An entire country’s worth of people have next to no representation. This NEEDS to change.
Why are asexuals apart of the LGBTQA+??
…well maybe because we get the same ridicule and disgust from people not only from outside but inside the community. Also maybe because in many cases there is no physical attraction, atleast speaking for myself. So when I do marry it will probably be to another girl because I have always felt emotional contentment to females more then males. Which would be considered a homosexual relationship. Does that make me a lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, ect? No, I am asexual and I deserve to be proud of that. I should not have to be ashamed in what should be an open community. Stop the hate.
