You mean someone don’t do it like this?
Yeah I was taught to just sew them flush against the fabric. It didn’t work as well as I thought it should…

@sheinthatfandom I’ll try to explain it, to the best of my understanding. Create an anchor point on the fabric by creating an x with the thread. Then repeat that pattern of stitches going through the button holes Instead of pulling the thread tight between each stitch keep it loose enough you have room to loop the thread around beneath the button when you’re finished. Loop it three times then put the needle between the top loop and through the middle of the threads coming down from the button. Pull it tight and it will create a knot almost like a hangman’s noose. only much smaller. It gives the button room to move without putting excess strain on the fabric or on the thread.
In another day or two we’ll be ready to publish an article in Glencairn Museum News about Egyptian creation myths. This hieroglyphic inscription is on the back pillar of a figurine in the Glencairn collection of Ptah, a creator god. The inscription includes three hieroglyphs which, when combined, form the word “hemut,” which can be translated as “craftsmanship.” The ancient Egyptians didn’t have a word for “art,” but they recognized the output of craftsmen as a form of creation!

I cannot walk now, Cobbler can you mend something for my soul? So that one day, I can return to that beautiful garden in the lake surrounded by willows and ferns. Where the willows gently draped over the water, the ferns leaned out over the stone path to that roof we stayed under. I’ll be wearing those shoes you mended for me Dear Cobbler. In this lush green garden I learned to walk Cobbler, I learned to walk on my own. We’ll meet again some where else, maybe it might even be sunny.

Many cultures have had some form of a gun-blade combination due to the fact that they are extremely versatile out on the battlefield. The most famous form would be the bayonet that was used during the Crimean War and the American Civil War. The Germans were also known for their axe guns and a lot of these are preserved in the Historisches Museum in Dresden, as seen above.
