#queer love

LIVE

I felt so robbed and so cheated by the universe when I couldn’t listen to Rocky Horror. It was one of my ex’s favorite things in the whole world which was perfect because it was one of myfavorite things in the whole world; after we broke up, any mention of it would have me in tears within the minute. And I felt robbed. Because goddamn it, that was mine. It belonged to me.

Yesterday, I watched this video here and felt nothing but pure queer joy. Next weekend, I’m watching a proshot of this production with my roommates.

I’m planning on a whole post just about Oliver Thornton and Rocky Horror later, but for now please enjoy, and revel in this moment with me!

I am internally screaming in excitement!!! The details were added and the upper leaves were filled!

Thanks @rckelly (IG page) for your amazing work! It’s perfect!

I this age of hate and turmoil, it is great to see a totally queer TV series that presents gay love as something natural and a trans girl as a complete human being.

The actress who portrays Elle Argent, Yasmin Finney, is a trans woman.

Yasmintold PinkNews during a roundtable discussion that she is “so blessed” to be portraying Elle.

Yasmin said:

“It really, really, really is such a rare story that we get a trans character that doesn’t delve into gender dysphoria, or depression, or bullying, but just the positive – the friendship, the chosen family, the moving from an all boys’ school to an all girls’ school. Just everything that is natural about being trans is highlighted, and I’m just so happy to be that positive representation that we’ve needed for so many years.

“She’s just allowed to love herself with no society telling her what to do and how to act and how to look and who to love and how to be – she’s just her, and I think that’s what’s so beautiful about the trans story that we have in Heartstopper.”

Heartstopper can be seen at Netflix.

In “Love on the Hunt”, two men share a friendly escapade.

Today was a “lumpy day”. Farm Girl and I have both been struggling along. Depression sucks! Chronic pain sucks! And so we spent the day giving each other hugs and apologizing for being lumpy and giggling about our mutual apologies.

But I think-I know-these are the days we are going to look back on when we are old and gray and reminisce about. The day FG taught me how to change my oil and rotate my tires. The day we watched Lilo and Stitch and snuggled and baked and gave away old coats from the front porch. The days we made it through together and in love.

Just a compilation of some old photos of queer couples kissing.

i’m a sucker for small intimacies:

  • hugs from behind
  • forehead kisses
  • hand holding
  • loving gazes
  • sweet nothings
  • moments where it’s too intimate to say a word

these are the small intimacies my heart longs for
