Underworks Swim Tank (Style 918)

Chest size: 36-38 C

The Swim Tank by Underworks is an effective binder that, as with all products, has its ups and downs. As a larger chested person, I personally do not feel comfortable wearing just this binder (no over shirt or anything) for its advertised purpose: swimming. This isn’t to say that the binder does not work well, because it does. However, one can still see evidence of my chest underneath when I don’t wear any shirts on top of the binder.

By itself, the swim tank costs $44.99 (about 34 euros), which is more than the brand’s other binders and its most popular binders: the Double Front Compression and the Tri Top.

The first thing I noticed is that this one has multiple layers of multiple fabrics. The inner layer, while I have not ripped my binder to shreds to see it, is seemingly the same material as the style 997 (Double Front Compression). This fabric is then covered by bathing suit material as that is what it is meant to be. The softer fabric is longer than the compression material. Therefore, this binder does not roll up while it still maintains the length that many of us guys, especially the chubby or large chested ones like myself, need. However, it does mean it’s slightly more difficult to adjust. You have to grab the bottom of the compression material to pull it down as opposed to grabbing the bottom of the binder in general.

Speaking of pulling it down, this is not your typical binder when it comes to putting it on. You won’t need anyone’s help or fancy tricks to get this sucker around your chest. I know it’s hard to believe, but I’m serious. The Swim Tank comes with a zipper in the front making it much easier to put on.

It’s black with blue stripes along the sides. The neck comes up pretty high on one’s chest, meaning no v necks while wearing the Swim Tank. I have always personally been a fan of white binders, since that means I get to wear white t-shirts with them. With the Swim Tank, there are no color options.

On the down side, the 997 is known for rolling up and cutting into the hips. The 983 (Tri Top) is known for having inconsistent results acting as a push-up bra for some and an excellent binder for others. The Swim Tank, for me at least, cuts into the top of one’s shoulders. I wear this binder to work and while I ride my bike to work, meaning I am in it for long periods of time. Because of this, I sometimes experience sharp pains in my shoulders and also have a scab wear the binder rubbed off some of my skin. The question is is this pain worse than having it cut into my hips? For me, yes.

The Swim Tank has the potential to be excellent, maybe even perfect, but needs some tweaks. Currently, it does about the same job as the 997 but for a higher price. Therefore, I rate it a 3.5/5.

Tai Rockett is a poet delving into the realm of playwright. Zhe is interested in expanding the stage so that the intimacy of story telling acts as a bridge between the audience and the performer, between communities of color and politics, between politics and a single body. Zhe is an anthropologist at heart and a lover of historical fiction and memoirs.

oh you think your life is hard? try being a gay rat living in france who hates your dad and just wants to cook

why did this post make me realize there are no female rats in this movie

actually there is, she has one line at the end when she says “how do youknow?”

ok I just skimmed though the movie again, and here she is in the beginning, she just doesn’t say anything, and you wouldn’t guess she was a girl because they didn’t do that weird humanizing, tits and longer eyelashes thing that most movies with animals do.

i’m pretty sure that all the female coded rats are the smaller rats, which is apparently accurate to real rats. Remmy is also really small. after going though the movie I realized that there are only five rats that have actual lines. Remmy, Emile, the dad, the really big bodyguard rat, and the rat at the end. whack.

>girl rats are smaller

>Remmy is smaller

>Remmy is trans

Remmy is Trans and that’s the Tea

Transgender men in the documentary A Year In Transition (2018). The third man, named Lorne, is the gay trans filmmaker that made this FTM-focussed film.

Many LGBT spaces nowadays are very feminine-focussed, and transgender men are often not given a platform to discuss the complexities of transitioning, identifying as men, and finding pride in their masculinity. This documentary takes a look at transmasculinity, and transmasculine experiences, in ways I have never seen any other LGBT production do. These are real men, with genuine experiences and insights, and it’s so wonderful to see my journey reflected in their interviews.

Comic about trans men in the health care system I made for magazine Ottar last autumn! Please note that it presents a Swedish perspective unless stated otherwise, as it is mostly based on Swedish studies. I would however argue that it has implications on the state of healthcare for trans people in other places as well. Thank you so much Hedvig for translating this!

Friendly reminder– you don’t need to take hormones to be a fully legitimate trans person if that’s not right for you! ♥️

TRIGGER WARNING: Gender dysphoria.

Hey, guys. So, as most of you know, my little/wife is a trans woman. She’s wanted Sex Reassignment Surgery since the day she discovered what being trans was. It would make her life so much easier. It would take care of most of her dysphoria, dysmorphia, self-esteem issues… It would make her so, so happy. I want to see her happy in her own skin.

But due to our financial issues, we’re nowhere near being able to afford it ourselves. We’re lucky is we scrape by $100 a month for going out to eat. That’s why, with her blessing, I started a GoFundMe for her to hopefully reach this goal.

Guys, she’s so sweet, and I can’t think of anyone who deserves to be happy as much as she does. She’s such a good person, and it pains me to see her stuck like this. To see her in such distress.

Here’s the link to the GoFundMe for her surgery.

https://www.gofundme.com/gender-affirming-surgery-for-lexi

On top of it, if we end up with money after the expenses of her surgery, we plan on donating it to TransActive, so that we can spread awareness and affirmation for trans youth, so that they’re comfortable and informed enough to come out as soon as possible. Lex has no bigger regret than the fact that she didn’t transition earlier. We want to give more people that option.

Any little bit helps, guys! Thank!

Sorry not to transcribe the whole thing, but it’s late and the point of the post is very simple:

Healthcare professionals are taught that vaginal bleeding in post-menopausal people is uterine cancer until proven otherwise.

If you have a uterus and have gone through menopause, having your period temporarily come back could be a sign of a much more serious issue, and you need to see a healthcare professional right away.

(Reposting this bc the other poster is a terf/swerf and fuck them for it)

Reposting because some fool taking away support from a woman who is spreading awareness about female health because they’re bad that female humans who focus on female humans aren’t centering non-females.

Reminder: radical feminists support females issues. that includes trans men because the point is the body itself.

We aren’t oppressed because of how we identify, The patriarchy oppresses female bodies, no matter what.

Silencing and shunning women who help women is wrong. Stop it.

Hey guys, so its been a long time coming but I’m finally on the journey for top surgery.

I don’t know the exact cost yet but I know it’s between 8k and 15k, which is a really big gap.

Whilst I could easily save this much up - I have bills, rent and meds to pay for, I also need to pay to eat, which is absolute bull (jk)

anyway, the point of this post is that I started a gofundme for my top surgery. I don’t want to pressure anyone to donate, but if y'all could share this around that’d be nice?

I don’t expect to meet my goal of 5k, but even 1k would help tbh. it’s a lot of money, I know, and if you donate feel free to message me and I will send you a picture of my pets as a thankyou.

Thanks guys :)

Support my buddy Seb!
