Last night after work I went to the gym and did about an hour and 20 minutes of cardio. My entire body is sore from that rough leg day on Monday and I worked out with a buddy of mine on Tuesday for a few hours (no photos from that), so I didn’t want to push it. It’s definitely been a while since I have been at the gym and not been there to lift, but it felt great to get a lot of my weekly cardio out of the way in one shot.

Last night I went to dinner with my boy and some friends and had calamari and fresh handmade fettucine. It was amazing and I had so much energy at the gym today.

Started my workout with some banded crab walks to warm up and activate my glutes. Did a million sets of squats. No, really. I’m going to screenshot my notepad and add it to this photo set. My legs and booty were/are TOAST.

I did 10 reps of each exercise listed in that order. TOASSTTTTTTED.

What kickstarted my weight loss/fitness journey a few years back was a really terrible candid photo that I saw of myself. I was so shocked at how I looked to other people and it seriously upset me for weeks until I decided to do something about it. We were all gathering today for a group photo and someone snapped this picture and it truly made me realize how far I have come and how happy I am with my body and myself in general. It has been such a long road to get here but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

A little blonder and a few more tattoos, but I can’t even recognize the girl on the left.

I forgot to take a gym selfie ‍♀️, but here’s a quick ab workout that I added to the end of my shoulder day.

Ask yourself this question: do you wanna die? Yes? Try this.

Crunches on the medicine ball; make sure you’re fully extending backwards. 10 left, 10 middle, 10 right. Do that 5 times with 1 minute of rest in between sets.

Ab Circuit: grab yourself a mat and a pair of gliders.
10 plank with single-arm slideouts
10 plank tucks
10 plank pikes
10 plank jacks
20 mountain climbers
Ok, now do that 5 times with 1 minute of rest in between each circuit. If you can do this straight through without collapsing, you’re amazing. I thought I was going to die.

And then just for fun, do single leg plank jacks. 10 on each side, 5 times.
I’ve been throwing a few ab exercises at the end of every single one of my workouts. I had never really focused on my core at all until a few months ago and I’ve noticed that my stability, balance, and strength has overall improved.

Yesterday was rest day – wasn’t supposed to have time to workout today because I started at my new bar this morning but I got out at 2 and killed a leg day in 65 minutes. Burned 550 calories with no cardio. I basically did a HIIT banded/bodyweight workout and followed it up with hack squats, cable kickbacks, and single leg pushdowns. Felt great!

Heading out with my roommate, her boyfriend and my boy tonight to get some dinner and watch the celtics game. Life has been so good lately

Last night’s workout – sarah and I went to the gym after I got out of work. Got there at 7:30 and stayed til 9:30. 35 minutes of cardio and bis/tris and a teeeeeeny bit of chest.

My roommate got home from a work trip yesterday so we went to dinner after I left the gym and I ordered a SALAD. I never ever eat salads. It was good though.

Don’t fall into the “I don’t have time to workout” mentality. MAKE THE TIME. Try replacing “I don’t have time” with “it’s not a priority” when it comes to all things in your life and see how the things that you “don’t have time” for change.

Holy crap guys, it’s been a long time. I took some time off from the gym and have just been enjoying life and eating dinners out and having a bagel every day. Literally every single day.

My boyfriend and I moved out of our old apartment to a way better apartment in a way better neighborhood in the same city. Believe it or not, it’s saving me money!

We just moved last weekend so I’m still unpacking and organizing (and have yet to grocery shop), but I found some time to do a bit of cardio and a general upper body day today. It felt great!
