no, it won’t. here’s an email from my GP, who’s been working in the Fenway Health system (which focuses on LGBT healthcare and research) for over a decade:

Binders worn too tight or for too many hours in a day can certainly cause some chronic rib/chest pain; they may even cause some scarlike thickening of the tissue under the skin - usually at the margins where the breast folds down against the chest wall in general. This can be uncomfortable, too. But none of this translates into making top surgery a problem. Not at all.
None of the surgeons I’ve sent patients to have ever remarked about this and nothing in standard practice or the general literature suggests or supports that conclusion.
What does this new NSFW ban mean for trans content on Tumblr?
Lee says:
Adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and @staff says that includes photos that show “real-life human genitals” or “female-presenting nipples”.
Moving past the nonsense idea that there’s such a thing as a “female-presenting nipple” in the first place, @staff says they will still allow pictures of said “exposed female-presenting nipples in connection with […] health-related situations, such as post-mastectomy or gender confirmation surgery.”
However, it seems likely the ban will be enforced haphazardly so a lot of informational content will be deemed “adult content” and deleted, so transition blogs where people document their bodies and medical transitions will certainly be affected by this.
This means visual resources on surgery results and hormone changes, among other things, will be deleted:

Note- we won’t be deleting our blog, and our resources will continue to be available minus said pictorial links.
Not all nudity is pornography (although how this negatively impacts vulnerable sex workers is another topic)- these pictures can be undeniably “not safe for work” but they are still primarily informational and not sexual. It’s both disappointing and frustrating to find that these resources will be deleted.
I personally have found looking through pictures that people have posted of post-lower surgery results very helpful to see in the research phase of my decision about lower surgery, and I’ve posted pictures of my pre-top surgery chest in posts that compare it with my post-op chest, and Tumblr has already flagged those pics.
This policy will take effect on December 17, 2018 which is very soon, so I would advise you to do your Tumblr research on the above topics now if you want to see pictures before they’re deleted.

If ur like me and driving urself crazy trying to find a top surgeon but ur fat then look at transbmi. Its a short list of surgeons with high or no BMI limit (some surgeons are listed as having an unknown limit - be extra wary of them as they dont guarantee a high limit)
I had a friend go thru KU Med, and he said they don’t have a BMI requirement for top surgery. However, they do have a (flexible) one for bottom surgery, mostly because having hanging stomach fat on a brand new penis will not be good for said brand new penis. So, despite what their website says, BMI is not a factor for top surgery.
I’ve had 2 friends go thru KU Med for top surgery, one thru Dr. Ponuru, and one thru Dr. Farmer. Both are fat, both are gnc but binary trans men, both had good results. From everything I’ve heard, the surgeons are very open/welcoming to nonbinary people as well.
I cannot stress enough: if you know of a surgeon who you think should be on this list PLEASE contact Elijah Castle, the trans man who runs transbmi. He has a google form linked at the bottom of the page for submissions. I do not run transbmi so i cant add the reccomendations i keep seeing in the notes!

I’m currently on day 1 of recovering from top surgery, and I’ve been playing an ungodly amount of Animal Crossing. And with that game, it’s pretty easy to crack yourself up when you’re high on painkillers and delirious from chest pain.
