What’s Been Missing With Your Magick And Updates

Hi loves,

This is gonna be a pretty long read but I ask that you please read it all.

I have had something on my heart for a while now. I have avoided this post for a long time because I was not sure how it would be received. I was not sure even how to say it.

I have been apart of the spiritual community since I was 13 years old. The second I got that lime green Dell laptop… I was in the trenches. Scouring through Youtube videos, reading books about Witchcraft and hiding them from my parents because they didn’t understand (they came around), and practicing spells on a beat up table I had gotten from Goodwill. I live and breathe this shit.

I eventually found the world of Hoodoo and never looked back. This practice has given me belonging. This practice has put food on my table. This practice has connected me to my ancestors. I LOVE teaching it. I love doing spells for others and using my gifts and my knowledge to bless others. I love baby witches that tell me I’m an inspiration.

But I have something to say.

Magick, Hoodoo, spellcraft, manifestation, all the forms Witchcraft takes, is simply a bandaid on a large wound.

It works. Of course it works. The miracles I have manifested for myself are otherworldly. The miracles I have co-created with others, the way it works in others lives and rearranges reality and makes the impossible possible.

But it does not change anything, not really.

See, I went around for years thinking that manifesting happened at an altar. And it does. With our candles, and our oils, and our herbs, we focus our intent and our energy on a single object or goal and we send it out into the universe and it rearranges things in our favor. The other part is though, we are manifesting all the time. Everyday. Every second.

Everything in your life, even the bad stuff, you have manifested.

Taking radical responsibility like this is….brutal. A lot of people don’t want to do it. A lot of people might even get mad at me for saying it and say that I am victim blaming, that I can’t possibly know everyone’s circumstances to make a statement like that…but here’s what I know for sure. We get what we are a vibrational match for. Like attract likes. What you seek is seeking you.

So when I say that Magick is a bandaid, I mean just because you can call it in, does not mean you can keep it.

The true Magick is changing your mindset. Your belief structure.

Your mindset is made up of subconscious belief systems and stories you probably don’t even know you have if you’ve never done the work to unravel them.

Lets take money for an example:

Lets say as a child you experienced living on the poverty line. You somehow usually had enough for the essentials like food and shelter, but not much for anything else. You grew up seeing your mom stress about the rent. You felt the fear in your household around paying bills. There were nights you went to sleep hungry but didn’t saying anything because you didn’t want to stress your parents out any more than they were and you knew things were tight.

You grew up hearing things like:

“There’s never enough hours at work”

Money doesn’t grow on trees”

“Nothing ever changes in the hood”

Then say you come to me for a job spell. You’re tired of the current job because it does not pay enough and you are in a lot of debt and ready to make a change. You pay me, I do the spell, it works amazingly, and you score a job that makes double your old salary.

Then, within a years time, you get fired. Or laid off. Or you quit because it’s just too overwhelming.

You think it was a stroke of bad luck. Too good to be true. Or just not what you thought it would be.

Really, it was so much deeper than that.

You grew up in a household full of scarcity. You were taught there was never enough. That money was a limited resource. And if you grew up anything like me that money wasn’t for “people like us”. You believe you should always have “enough” but never more than that because you’ve never known anything else.

So even though your conscious mind came to me and wanted this job more than anything, your subconscious mind sabotaged it.

You do not mean to manifest struggle or terrible shit, but its all that you know. Its what you subconsciously think you deserve and are worth.

You can go through a hundred green candles and do spells to manifest the same $1000 twenty times only to watch it fly out of your bank account because it all comes down to one thing,

You are not a vibrational match for money.

Your conscious mind wants it, seeks it, hustles for it, but your subconscious mind says:

“money isn’t for people like us”

“money isn’t stable”

“money is scary”

“money isn’t easy to come by”

“money never sticks around”

All based on things you saw, heard, and observed as a child.

This is the same for love spells

I can burn every candle in my stash and manifest you the man of your dreams and if you have beliefs from childhood that say men are unstable, men always leave, men always cheat, love is painful, he will never be able to stick around because you are literally repelling the thing you want.

Your subconscious mind does not know the difference between a lie and the truth. It is not capable of discerning the things you heard as false. And up until around the age of 8, you are basically a walking subconscious mind because your conscious mind isn’t developed. So when you heard things about money, things about your self worth, things that you could or couldn’t have, you believed them.

So, my point is, this is a temporary fix by itself.

I can manifest beautiful things for you, and it will just fly right out of your life if you have subconscious beliefs that you don’t deserve it, can’t have it, or are scared of it.

You have to change your mindset. You have to unravel your limiting beliefs.

I started working with clients because I have a calling on my heart to help people change their lives. To redistribute wealth. To show people what’s possible in their lives. To inspire people to live their deepest desires. I thought I could do it through Hoodoo, and I have, and for the time being I will continue to take clients, but in the long term, I want to do so much more than that.

I want to rewire your brain for a beautiful life. I want to help you and teach you to manifest things as well as keep them.

I am now a coach for spiritual people. I teach people how to heal their shit and trauma around money and success so they can live an abundant life and manifest the desires of their heart.

This work is not hoodoo centered and I will not take hoodoo spell request or q’s there.

This blog will probably always exist. It is certainly not going anywhere anytime soon. I will for the time being still be posting spells, answering q’s, taking clients, etc. I will always probably practice Hoodoo in some capacity, if not only to connect with my ancestors.

And if you are Black or a POC, I especially want to help with this work. Everyone is welcome of course and I want you all there but this next message is specifically for black folks and poc) because this shit is in our blood. We are master manifestors. We know how polish shit and make gold. But too many of us struggle with money specifically because we think its our birthright. We don’t know things can be different. We have never seen it be different.

But it can, it is so fucking out there, but we have to rewire our brains. We have to be willing to face our demons.

It’s not that this shit doesn’t work, it’s that this shit doesn’t work alone.

So that’s on that.

I love you guys.

Today’s Shadow Work Prompt

What do you feel is the most important piece of advice you could give to beginners in shadow work?

- Submitted by @mythical-manda

What You’ll Need :

  • Study Guide (Has to be finished!)
  • Yellow/White Candle
  • Calcite
  • Glass Bowl

I. Light the Candle

II. Hold the Calcite in one hand, place the other over the study guide. Imagine the energy of the work absorbing.

III. Rip a little piece [of your Study Guide] and place it into the glass bowl, light it up and inhale the smoke. (If you cannot inhale the smoke, simply place your hand over it and visualize it seeping into your skin.) Then, chant :

Study, study, keep in my mind. Study, know, so I won’t be so blind. Know, know, the correct answer I’ll write. Know, memorize, so I get the test right. Memorize, memorize, this test I shall pass. Memorize, forever, so I’ll pass this class.

Good luck to those who have tests!

My ultimate dream is a little witchy cottage style house with one room that is basically just a witch’s shop. Like a wall of jars filled with dried herbs (labeled with correspondences, of course), a wall of spellbooks, a cabinet full of tarot decks, and another full of crystals. A giant purple pentagram rug would sit front and center. A large, arched window that looks over my garden with an antique small round table is where I’ll take my tea each morning. It’s also where I’ll do my morning tarot reading and hold séances. Center of the room sits my altered- decked out in candles and statues of gods and guides. On a podium behind that is where my most recent book of shadows would sit. Like GODS could you imagine??

everybody thinks you’re kinda creepy and cool when you say you’re a witch until they see you collecting water under the rain and screaming at a jar

the level of accuracy

I have listed first the four essential tools traditionally used in more formal Wiccan rituals, noted with an asterisk. The others can add to a ritual but are not necessary.

*Athame/Knife

  • This is set in the eastern corner of the altar, to the right of the incense, and represents the element of Air.
  • Athames are traditionally double-edged and black-handled, but a single-edged blade is safer (some Wiccan traditions begin the ritual in the east and not the north, and so use the athame for Fire in the south), However, the blade that corresponds with the tarot suit of Air seems to me most natural in the east.
  • You can obtain an athame from a specialist magickal shop or online. Alternatively, buy an ornamental knife in souvenir stores or in antique or hunting equipment shops, or you can simply use a carved silver paper knife. The latter is ideal for a miniature altar.

Sword ️

  • The sword is a more elaborate form of the athame and is usually reserved for larger-scale indoor or outdoor ceremonies. Like the athame, the sword is placed in the east ((or in the alternative tradition, the south) of the altar, to the right of the incense (the left if you have the athame as well). It is a tool of the Air element if set in the east.
  • Swords can be used for drawing magical circles on a forest floor, in the earth, or in snow (my favorite). They can also be used greeting the Guardians- the traditional protectors of the four directions- in formal rituals. The Guardians are often regarded as four Archangels, four deities, four Power animals, or as the Elemental Spirits, who signify the four forces: Earth, Air, Water and Fire.
  • You can easily obtain reproduction ceremonial swords that are not sharp. Military museums may sell ornate ones.

*Chalice

  • The chalice or ritual goblet represents the Water element and is placed in the west of the altar, to the right of the bowl of water. On a smaller altar, it can be used to contain the water instead of a bowl.
  • The knife, sword, or wand is ceremonially plunged into the chalice as a symbolic union of the God and Goddess energies, which is the climax of a ritual (especially love rituals).
  • The chalice is also central to the sacred cakes and ale rite that occurs at the end of very formal ceremonies and is in this case filled with red wine or fruit juice that is blessed and passed around the group to drink, or carried around by the High Priestess (who represents Goddess energies) for everyone to drink. The chalice is traditionally made of silver, but you can also use crystal glass, stainless steel, or pewter. This corresponds with the Water suit in the tarot.

*Pentacle/Pentagram ⛤

  • The pentacle- a pentagram or five-pointed star enclosed within a circle - is a symbol of the Earth and is placed in the north of the altar.
  • The pentacle may be found as a freestanding item but is more usually painted on a flat round dish or disc. The pentagram itself is protective or empowering, depending on which way it is drawn, and has many uses in ritual.
  • You can buy a pentacle dish made of metal, wood, or pottery from a New Age store, or paint or etch your own pentagram/pentacle on a plain glass or ceramic dish.If you prefer you can trace an invisible invoking or attracting pentagram on any plain dish with the index finger of the hand you write with each time before use.
  • This corresponds with the Earth tarot suit of pentacles or coins.

*Wand ✨

  • The wand is a symbol of Fire in many traditions and should be placed in the south of the altar, to the right of the candle. Wands can be obtained from New Age stores or online,  but if possible, try to handle a wand before buying it in order to make sure you’re choosing the one that’s right for you. Alternately, you can use a long, clear quartz crystal , pointed at one end and rounded at the other, as a wand.
  • While wands are traditionally made of wood, they can also be made of metal, and especially copper. However, if you don’t find the right wand in stores or online, you can easily make your own. The wand is used for enchanting or filling a symbol with power in a spell or ritual by making circles over a symbol (clock wise for attracting energies and counter-clockwise for banishing energies). It can also be used for raising and releasing magical power.

Bell

The bell stands in the north of the circle, to the right of the salt, and is an Earth symbol. Use silver or gold colored bell or a Tibetan pair of bells you can strike together. The bell is often rung nine times at the beginning and end of each ritual standing in the south of the circle, facing north, or at each of the four directional points to call the Guardians.

Cauldron

  • This is a three-legged iron pot. It is one of the most versatile items of magic since it can be set in the center of a large space indoors or outdoors or in its true elemental position in the north. In less-formal rituals, it can sometimes form the central focus of a ritual instead of an altar, and this works especially effectively outdoors.
  • Cauldrons can be bought in New Age stores, by mail order, or from  antique markets. If you look around cookware or even gardening centers you may find your cauldron under a different name.

thewitcherelf:

Like dogs and cats, not every dragon is exactly the same. Different types of dragons are determined by the number of limbs they have or the other creatures they resemble.

1. Amphitere

These dragons are a hybrid, part snake and part bird. They have the body of a serpent from their head to their tail, and their wings (similar to bat wings) sprout from their neck. Depending on the depiction, they might have forelimbs, but they never have any hind limbs.

2. Drake

In Middle English, Drake actually means dragon. This type has four limbs. They have low slung bodies with their bellies skimming the ground. They look similar to lizards, but are much larger.

3. Hydra

These dragons are water serpents with multiple heads. Every time one is chopped off, another will grow back in its place. Sometimes, these dragons also have additional tails, wings, or arms.

4. Eastern

These dragons possess great wisdom. They contain the body of a snake, belly of a frog, scales of a carp, head of a camel, horns of a giant stag, the eyes of a hare, ears like a bull, a neck like an iguana, paws like a tigers, and claws like an eagle.

5. Wyvern

These dragons are highly aggressive. They possess the head of a dragon (which is wedge-shaped like a crocodile), the wings of a bat, and a long serpent’s tail. They can either have lizard legs or bird legs.

6. Anthropomorphic

These dragons have human traits. They are tripedal with shortened forearms, which means they are unable to walk on all fours like other dragons. In some depictions, they will also have humanlike digits with fingernails and toes. Not only do they possess physical human qualities, but they also take on human behaviors as well.

7. Dragon Beasts

These creatures are hybrids of avian species and serpents. They will either have the head of a dragon, the tail of a dragon, or the ability to transform into a dragon. They can also contain the traits of other animals, so they might have cobra fangs or crocodile heads.

8. Western

These dragons are the servants of sorcerers. They have crocodile scales covering their body and a barbed tail. Their heads can contain either horns, antlers, or a crest. They can also spit fire and other deadly fumes.

9. Lindworm

These dragons have the head of a horse with a mane covering their neck. Their heads are oversized with bright eyes that burn like coals and their mouth is wide enough to swallow any human man or woman whole.

10. Wurm

These dragons are serpents with coils that can wrap around hills. They can exhale noxious fumes and move at a quick speed. You can spot them by their horns, large fangs, and bright, wide eyes.

11. African Dragon

Some people do not actually consider these creatures to be dragons because of their shape. They look more like serpents because they do not have any legs or arms. They resemble giant snakes.

12. Oriental

Oriental dragons are not dangerous. They are guardians. They protect the heavens and guard the people. They have four legs with four toes on each foot and a serpentine body without any wings attached.

13. Dragonnet

These dragons look exactly the same as Western dragons — except they are much smaller in size. They range from the size of a finger to the size of a human. Despite their size, they are dangerous because they hunt in packs and have poisonous blood that is lethal when it touches your skin.

14. Cockatrice

These dragons are either red or green with a yellow underbelly. They have scales covering their body and leather wings. They have poisonous breath, a beak that can kill, and eat anything they see moving.

The Most Famous Dragons

It doesn’t matter if you’re reading stories from Japan, China, Persia, or Europe — because there are dragons in each one. Mythology is filled with stories of winged creatures, both good and evil. Here are some of the most notable ones:

1. Yamata no Orochi

This dragon comes from Japanese mythology. It is an evil dragon with eight heads and eight tails. Every year, he devours a maiden as a sacrifice.

2. Fafnir

Fafnir comes from Norse mythology. He used to be a greedy dwarf, but a curse transformed him into a dragon.

3. Fucanglong

This dragon comes from Chinese mythology. It is an underworld dragon who guards buried treasures, specifically a magical pearl that multiplies when touched.

4. Zmey Gorynych

Zmey Gorynych comes from Slavic mythology. It has three heads and seven tails. It was famously attacked by the warrior Dobrynya Nikitich, but it took three full days of fighting before it was slain.

5. Jawzahr

Jawzahr comes from Persian mythology. It spends all of its time in the sky, chasing around the sun and the moon. Whenever a solar eclipse occurs, it is said that Jawzahr has finally caught up to the sun and moon and swallowed them.

6. Ladon

Ladon comes from Greek mythology. It had 100 heads and wrapped itself around a tree to guard golden apples. He was famously defeated by Hercules after he dipped an arrow into the gall of hydra and stuck the poison into Landon’s flesh.

7. Krak’s Dragon

This dragon comes from Polish folklore. It gets its name from a peasant boy named Krak who defeated it. Krak left a meal of three roasted sheep full of sulfur and hot spices beside the dragon’s cave. When it ate the meal, its gut exploded, killing it.

8. Ayida-Weddo

This dragon is the rainbow serpent who holds up the heavens. Whenever a rainbow is seen in the sky, it is the twin personalities of Ayida-Weddo with the red part of the rainbow identifying as male and the blue part as female. It is also said that Ayida-Weddo’s droppings help nourish the land and the mountains.

9. Kukulkan

Kulkulkan is a feathered serpent from Mesoamerica. It is considered the protector of craftsmen, the rain-maker, the wind-blower, and the fire-bringer. However, this peace-loving dragon was not a fan of bloodthirsty sacrifices.

10. Kur

Kur comes from Sumerian folklore. It lives in the void above the earth’s layer and below the sea. Because of its home underground and its wicked ways, it is commonly associated with the underworld.

@alucard-1717 Post About Dragons You Like <3

Fairies of the flowers are filled with light and fluttering energy, their wings like silken petals, iridescent as a dragonfly’s wings. In fact, you may think you saw a dragonfly when in actuality it was a Flower Fairy you saw. They’re lovely, each to each, with satin and silky skirts, tiny seed like ballet slippers, and greatly colored petal hats and collars. They’re sensual yet modest, bold yet coy. Their allure is intoxicating. They are pure sexual, fruitful energy. They carry different traits, some receptive, others assertive and each conduct specific duties. Some are lovely, dainty fairies who are also shy and a bit sensitive, for all their pride and glorious beauty. They need adoration and respect or they feel faint and their mood wilts. They do everything they can to earn praise since they aim to do only one thing, and that is to give beauty to the world through their fecundity.

How Flower Fairies Help Us

Flower Fairies make it possible for humans to live through their focus on pollination and fruitful fulfillment of life giving life. They help nectar flow to attract and seduce bees to spread pollen. In our lives symbolically, they produce in us the desire to germinate ideas and see our own potential realized, to sweeten our judgement as they suggest we develop our own advantageous flowering through worthwhile pursuits. They remind us that we are benefactors to others, and bear plenteous gifts to share.

How To Connect With Flower Fairies

If you want to feel sexy, align with Flower Fairies! Try looking at life in a daring new way, freeing yourself of the weight of worry and allowing others to breathe their own air, to do as they choose to do, to learn through life as they deem best for them. Flower Fairies focus on their own great beauty and pay less attention to other flowers, and this is what each flower you behold (by admiring them on the stem or picking and arranging them in your home) beckons you to do. Flower Fairies want you to connect with them and receive the deep gratitude and love of self that they embody. The best way is to bring flowers in and pay attention to them. Admire them profusely and dance around them. Put flowers at your bedside and on tables throughout the home. Let them know you understand their exquisiteness. This will enhance your alluring qualities, bringing out your natural refinement and grace.

Remember playing in the mud as a kid, maybe making mud pies or getting covered in it, and feeling happy to squish it between your fingers and toes? Fairies of the Earth are at work underfoot, they’re the entities that govern the turn of the soil, helping the insects and worms that keep soil aerated and healthy. They encourage seeds, helping them germinate, and then coax the roots, urging them to have bold confidence to claim the soil for themselves. Earth Fairies are stocky with dark green, clay red, or brown hues. They have wings that resemble beetles shiny wings. They’re dense in appearance rather than holographic. They’ll brush against your ankles as you walk, playfully tugging at you through the mud or pricking your bare feet with tiny sticks or thorns, just out of rambunctiousness. They are seen best in the gloaming light at the end of day, as they like to catch a glimpse of the Residential Fairy Queen who passes at twilight.

How Earth Fairies Help Us

Earth fairies know that we come from dust and shall return to it, and that all living things on Earth eventually break down into the soil, in one form or another. While we are alive, the Fairies of the Earth long to claim us as the Earth’s gravity and magnetic pull show us that our place is naturally the ground we walk on. They help us understand intrinsically that we thrive from the root up, and need a foundational base in which to grow truly strong. The electrons and healthy bacteria emitted through the earth have great health benefits to us, shifting our moods and regulating bodily organs. Children instinctively run outside barefoot, and adults should too! (always making sure its safe and there’s nothing harmful that can prick your feet). Earth Fairies want us to be and feel grounded, to receive the gifts from the core of the Earth into our own core, and their mission is to give us reason to stabilize our lives through real depth; they want us to take root and know we belong.

How To Connect With Earth Fairies

Go outside as often as you can and walk barefoot. Try to get your feet against the actual ground, and simply feel yourself there, your weight sinking in or being fully supported by it. Earth Fairies will be present as you are infused with pure energy in the form of electrons, receiving and connecting with the biological rhythms of your planet. And don’t be shy about digging, rending to gardens, and reaching with bare hands into the earth. You may not be making mud pies or sand castles anymore, but there are great benefits of getting dirty and standing upon or getting into the rich soil.

Always Be Careful!~

Those who frequently tune in to the angelic realm develop a spiritual aura. This often appears to clairvoyant visions as wings of light. Once we have unfurled our angelic wings they have a number of uses. They attune us instantly to the angelic realm and lighten our vibrational rate, which helps us rise above our troubles. We can wrap ourselves in our wings to give ourselves comfort and protection from unkind energies.

Everyone’s wings are different and they are a direct radiance from the divine spark of light that dwells in your Heart Chakra. Some wings appear as feathers while others have wings of ethereal fibers resembling shimmering starlight. Some wings are huge, extending the full length of the spine (this is normally a sign that all the chakra centers embedded within the spine are in balance). These spinal wings can extend beneath the feet and above the head.

☁️ How To Practice The Meditation ☁️

This meditation is best done standing up.

image

☁️ What To Do ☁️

  1. Stand with your bare feet planted firmly on the floor.
  2. Raise your arms high above you, As you do so, visualize yourself with your feet standing firmly on the Earth and your head in the highest Heaven. Feel your body connecting Heaven and Earth.
  3. Stretch your fingers upward and, as you do, feel the angelic hands of your guardian angel come downward; allow them to place their hands in yours. This is a special experience and you may wish to bask in the contact for a few moments as it opens your Heart Chakra.
  4. When you are ready, allow your angelic wings to grow out of the space between your shoulder blades. Feel them growing upward and outward. Sense how they feel, and what they look like.
  5. Let your wings unfurl fully. However you sense them, allow your body to adjust to the experience of having wings. Often you will feel a shift in your overall energy field as your vibrational rate is raised and you grow accustomed to the experience of having wings.
  6. See if you can move your wings.
  7. Ask for a blessing to be placed on your wings.

You Will Need:

  1. A printout of an unwritten congratulatory e-card, sent to yourself
  2. A black pen
  3. A yellow candle
  4. A lavender, lilac, or lemongrass incense stick (all Mercury fragrances).

Ningyo is a Japanese water fairy who cries pearls instead of tears. Some say that Ningyo has the head of a human and the body of a fish. Others believe it is clad in sheer silk robes that move about it, like waves. Ningyos dwell in gorgeous palaces beneath the sea, and are very seductive.

Urashima Taro was a young fisherman with a kindly nature. One day, while returning home, came upon some youths tormenting a turtle. When he could not make them stop, he offered to buy the creature from them. The youths grabbed his money and ran, so the fisherman place the poor turtle in the shallows and watched as it recovered and swam away. Out in his boat the next day, Urashima heard someone calling his name. Looking down, he saw the turtle he had rescued, and was amazed when it invited him to visit the King’s Palace beneath the waves. Urashima climbed on its back and the turtle grew much larger, taking him down to a magnificent palace. Brilliant fish ushered him into the presence of a lovely Sea Princess, who told Urashima that she was, in fact, the turtle he had rescued. The fisherman was utterly smitten, and he and the maiden lived in bliss for three days. Urashima then became worried about his parents and insisted on visiting them. His lady gave him a small box as a talisman, with instructions NOT to open it. Urashima promised to obey.

On returning to his village, he was dismayed, for everything was different, and folk told of a young fisherman who had disappeared 300 years ago. With nothing left of this home, Urashima could only return to the underwater palace, but first he rested on the shore in bewilderment. Seeking some answers, he pulled out the talisman box and opened it. A violet mist rose from it and enveloped him, whereupon he crumbled to dust.

This tale warns us- as so many do- that time passes differently in Fairyland, and that if we forget our world, we may not get back to it. It warns of too great an immersion in fairy matters, but also, in a sense, of too little. It was Urashima’s lack of faith and questing human mind that killed him. Our error is to try to have our cake and eat it,too!

There are 48 colors of the moon, but here are some of the most frequently talked about colors and what they mean for witches :) I will also discuss some things you can do on any full moon, whatever color it may happen to be! :)

How To Celebrate Every Full Moon

  • Gather moon water
  • Cleansing and charging warm-toned crystals in the moonlight
  • Painting
  • Doing shadow work whilst observing the moon and meditating

Full Moon Bath Ritual

  1. First things first, before you take this bath, clean the bathtub mindfully using the appropriate scents for your upcoming bath’s intentions
  2. Gather your favorite items and or items related to the pink moon such as stones, a specific drink of your choosing, candles, and perhaps either your shadow book or a book that you see if we connect with
  3. Turn off the lights and work by candlelight, perhaps with appropriately calming music
  4. Meditate in the water along with herbs, flowers, and bath salts chosen according to your intent. You can also finish connecting to each of the elements by adding in the elements of air through incense, however I would argue that the element of air is covered if you decide to take a hot bath or have some kind of purifier on in the room, creating a mist or fog
  5. You can finish your bath by visualizing the cleansing of your soul and magick as you drain the water, and then lightly clean out the tub once again to make sure that all of the herbs and flowers are taken care of and disposed of properly
  6. Finally, take note of how you feel after the ritual and record it for future use
  7. This is a ritual that can be adapted to any full moon, as full moon baths are quite a popular activity.

Pink

The pink moon in witchcraft is generally all about spring.

Also called the egg moon, the grass moon, the pink phlox moon, and many other names, the pink moon is mainly about fertility end growth. It signifies faith in the future and anticipates abundance, and is the perfect time to set new things into motion or make new commitments. It is also a good time to find courage, trust, adaptability, and maturity in relation to new paths in life. It is a wonderful time for reflection and shadow work, and it has been said that doing shadow work during the pink moon is more fulfilling on top of the many other feelings associated with the work.

Red

The red moon in witchcraft is generally all about fall.

Also called Hunter’s moon, the blood moon, the sanguine moon, and many other names, the red moon honors the year that has been and the sacrifices made by the plants and animals used to sustain us. It is a sort of celebration of life for the aspects of nature that gave their lives, and the day is spent honoring ancestors and releasing old griefs. It signifies growth, renewal, wisdom, company, and resting. Associations with the Blood Moon being an omen of destruction to come, but it is also generally understood that the night of the blood moon should be used to celebrate life and the flowing of life in relation to the flooring of blood through your veins. You are to make peace with your past and understand your shadow-self, balancing and enhancing your magical energies and powers through recognizing and letting go of grief.

Blue

The blue moon in witchcraft is an extra full moon in any season and occurs once every 2.7 years. There are some negative connotations fine Blue Moon because it confuses people who were attempting to prepare for various types of weather and crop rotations. This, and another negative connotation spawns from the fact that with the addition of this extra Moon there is an unlucky number of 13 full moons in that year instead of 12. However the Blue Moon is quite a fortune in time when it comes to Witchcraft because it is seen as a taken moment;  a time of the year that is separated from the norm and ergo the perfect opportunity to re-gather ones senses and hope for the superstitious “once in a blue moon” luck of something unusual. The blue moon is also a time where you should set goals, as they will be strengthened under this moonlight. You can also utilize the blue moon to call for safety, joy, peace, love, health, energy, and empowerment. Meditation is best done in the moonlight of this night, and most you will see better results from verbal magick and spells. This is the perfect time to prepare yourself for what’s to come. It acts as the perfect break to collect yourself before continuing on with your craft following this night.

sources: scattered but mainly from “Wicca Year of Magic” by Lisa Chamberlain. Overall a good book but here are a few gripes: not very inclusive.. just uses she/her pronouns when talking about witches. talks about requiring a lot of tools when not all are necessary. however it’s a good book for beginners, talks about history very well, and generally promotes differing perspectives and ways of practicing the craft
