Spring isn’t really my jam, but I do like to incorporate seasons into my practice. I love how each season brings with it a certain focus so you can really explore your magic throughout the whole year.
March 20th is the first day of spring this year, and where I live we have had a long snowy winter so I’m really ready to incorporate some warm days into my magic.
1 Clean out your witchy supplies
It gets to be a mess, I know. Spring is a great time to cleanse and purge your witchy things. Donate what you don’t need and organize the rest. Your magic will thank you.
2 Do a big ritual cleanse for all your baddy spell casting
Kidding, but for real. Spring is a time for cleansing.
3 Sweep out the negativity from your life
This is not in the literal sense. To do a broom cleanse, open all your windows and doors and take your broom two inches above the floor metaphorically ‘sweep’ the negativity out of your space.
4 Spring walks for collecting items
Spring is the best time for finding witchy things outside. I’ve found insect wings, small animal bones, rocks, anything you think you’ll need for your craft.
5 Spells for New Growth
Ready to get that new job? New home? Or start a new business? Spring is the nest time to piggyback off that energy.
6 Spells for Abundance
Want to attract more abundance around this time? Add dill or parsley to a drawstring bag and place it on your altar or carry it with you.
7 Charge your Crystals (for real this time)
I’m not the greatest when it comes to taking all my crystals outside and charging them under the full moon because really it’s a nuisance. But I try to commit once a year and spring it when it is.
8 Cleanse your tools
While you’re charging your crystals, do some more magical spring cleansing and charge your tools too.
9 Honor your Ancestors with fresh picked flowers
Next time you’re outside, pick up some fresh dandelions or spring flowers and place them in a vase for your ancestors.
10 Draw, write, meditate outside
Take some time to sit outside and reflect.
11 Focus on spiritual growth
Remember that the season of spring is all about new growth, growing spiritually and creating the life you want for yourself.
12 Spring Clean your space
Sometimes it starts with the mundane work. Take some times this spring and clear out your physical space, sometimes it helps with your mental space too.
13 Make sun water
Make sun water on the first full spring day for the masculine equivalent to moon water.
14 Go outside, camp, take a walk, connect with nature
This one speaks for itself, but go outside, connect and get out of the winter mood.
15 Grow your food for spells
Even if you don’t have a lot of space (me!) take an old terra cotta pot and grow some tomatoes or zucchini. Use the vegetables in a soup spell.
16 Grow herbs
Another way to bring spring into your home is to grow herbs. Start with basil on your windowsill and go from there.
17 Make sun tea
Sun tea is simply making tea and setting the pitcher outside letting the sun brew the tea for a few minutes. Create sun tea and absorb that good energy from the sun in every tea glass.
18 Press flowers or leaves
Press flowers or leaves gathered from your next walk and use them to decorate your spell book or journal.
19 Read tarot
Do a really intense tarot reading for the season and see what’s headed your way.
20 Learn a new divination
Spring is the perfect time to pick up a new skill. If you’ve been leaning towards learning a new divination technique, now is the perfect time to learn it!
A magick practicer who specializes in the earthly world. Typically, a green witch seeks to take care of and nurture plant life. Green witches are usually more knowledgeable about herbalism.
Dark Witch:
A magick practicer who works typically with dark magick, such as curses and hexes. Dark witches usually specializes in necromancy, revenge and the destruction of life.
Death Witch:
A magick practicer who works around the idea of life and death. Typically, Death witches work around honoring the dead and the idea of an afterlife.
Kitchen Witch:
A magick practicer who use their herbalistic knowledge and incorporates it into cooking and cleaning while in the kitchen. Kitchen witches are very commonly knowledgeable of herbalism, as well. They commonly cross over with green witches.
Spirit Worker:
A magick practicer who works with spirits of all kind in communication and guidance. Spirit working can be defined as working with human spirits, demons, fae, spirit guides and spirit companions. The definition varies from person to person.
Sea Witch:
A magick practicer who works with bodies of water such as lakes, oceans and rivers. Sea witches work with the animals and environment, itself. Typically, they have a strong emotional connection to the sea.
Hedge Witch:
A magick practicer who use their knowledge of plants and herbs to work along side modern medicine in ways of healing. Hedge witches are typically very in tune with nature and communicate with the world around them.
Christian Witch:
A magick practicer who worships the Christian God among side their belief of witchcraft.
Secular Witch:
A magick practicer who doesn’t attach their witchcraft to a religious path way. Secular witches practice witchcraft without a religious system.
Eclectic Witch:
A magick practicer who mixes multiple different paths of witchcraft into their individual craft. Eclectic witches may also include different culture or traditional ideas.
Chaos Witches:
A magick practicer who focuses on witchcraft that unravels, unwinds, deconstructs and builds something new. Chao witches focus on chao magick, the opposite of order magick. Order magick is about control and prediction of an outcome.
Root Workers:
A magick practicer who is African American and practices the southern folk grounding magick referred to as Hoodoo or Rootwork. Hoodoo is different then Voodoo.
Elemental Witch:
A magick practicer who worship the four elements, fire, air, water and earth. Elemental witches include these elements in most parts of their craft, centering around them.
Urban Witch:
A magick practicer who live in urban, city life and incorporate that into their craft through different means. Urban Witches typically use their knowledge of deities and crystals, most.
Tech Witch:
A magick practicer who use technology in their craft for most activities. Tech witches may have an online grimoire or use different witchcraft related apps on their phone or computer.
Gardnerian Witch:
A magick practicer who worship Gardnerian Wicca, or Gardnerian witchcraft, a neopagan religion of Wicca, whose members can trace initiatory descent from Gerald Gardner.
Alexandrian Witch:
A magick practicer who are part of a form of neopaganism called Alexandrian Witchcraft. Alexandrian Witchcraft is similar to Gardnerian Wicca but use different tools, have different deities and different elemental names. Some practice with ritual nudity or Skyclad. Alexandrian covens meet on new moons, full moons and during Sabbat festivals.
Correllian Witch:
A magick practicer who practice Correllian Witchcraft, which is very close in tradition to Traditional Witchcraft. Correllian witches use the term wittan instead of wiccan.
Science Witch:
A magick practicer who use alchemy and other forms of science in their own personal craft. Most science witches are alchemists.
Solitary Witch:
A magick practicer who practices individual without a group of wiccans or a coven to aid them. Typically, Solitary witches do not participate in sabbats.
Cosmic Witch:
A magick practicer who focuses on planetary and celestial energy in their practice. Cosmic witches spend most time focused on the plants, and the universe.
Weed Witch:
A magick practicer who incorporates marijuana into their own practice. Weed witches may smoke marijuana with herbs, or use it otherwise.

I recently had trouble coming up with ideas for pocket altar ideas till I finally found great ways to organize my PA.I’ll post photos of the pocket altar when I get home! Links for some supplies will be featured by clicking on certain words.
bundle up a stack of larger leaves (4+ leaves) by stacking them together facing the same directing then rolling them in half using a hair tie to tie them together
usemini bottles for oils or glitter for later spell work
write sigils with different intentions on smedium pieces of paper with their intention (ex: “protection”, “I am protected.”, etc.) written on them so whenever you need a certain sigil, it’s always there for use without having to ask someone else for a piece of paper
pocket altars are also great for closeted witches as they can hide in plain sight if you don’t decorate the outside or can be hidden easily as they are small.
decorate your pocket altar to reflect your path and personality! I’ll give some examples below:
Earth Related:
You can glue some moss (depending on from what type of tree, often has magickal properties of luck and prosperity) on the outer or inner lid of your container. You can use the moss so any hard or breakable objects stay safe; although, PLEASE keep your matches in a safe box or keep the flammable tips covered in cotton to prevent friction. Or you can do a collage of leaves on the outside/inside
Stone Witches:
You can do a mosaic of stone chips to create an image or pattern with your intent. Maybe even a sigil! You could do so much that the possibilities are endless.
Space Related:
Paint a galaxy or your most favorite constellations on your container to bring their energies to your PA. Add silver/gold glitter to represent the moon/sun.
Spirit Work Related:
Add a yes/no/maybe/probably not (you can replace any of these little sayings) pendulum board to the inner/outer top or bottom of your container for an easily accessible pendulum board. You could also maybe glue a cluster used for spirit contact to the inside somewhere so you always have it.
Water Related:
Take some miniature seashells and glue them to your container in any pattern you’d like. You could use any type of water of your choice to paint your container. Also, maybe you can use hot glue to create fake rain drops.
Fire Related *DO WITH CAUTION*:
If you have a PA made out of wood or metal, you can tinge it by burning the surface, then putting out any fire or smoke with a wet towel or by splashing water on it.

Hey! I have a spell bottle for attracting love for you guys. Not just used for attracting love to gain a boyfriend or girlfriend, but also love to gain new friends. I tend to get hurt a lot in relationships so I added A LOT of protection ingredients in here. You can lessen the ingredients if needed.
What you’ll need:

Black Pepper for protection
Peppermint for the ‘push’ needed for change in one’s life

A piece of paper with a love attraction sigil on it for a scroll
Red(for passion/lust),pink(for love, relationships and affection) and black string (for rid of negativity and protection) twisted together to tie the scroll. It’s easier to tie if you knot all three strings together after being twisted.
And of course, a bottle
Steps
Put in rose quartz chips first then a couple of tiger’s eye chips
Add a scoop or two of sugar
Add in the rosemary
Add a layer of salt
Add some peppermint
Roll up your piece of paper with the sigil on it into a scroll (till it looks like a tube)
Take your twisted strings and tie them around the scroll
Either you can wrap your rose petals around the scroll or you can rip up the rose petals if you’ve run out of room. I add this before hand so you don’t have to fish the scroll out of the bottle.
Add in your scroll
Add in rose petals
Add half a scoop of black pepper and put the cork/lid back on.

Hey, loves! I have a self love spell bottle for you guys. I made it during the last full moon since that was one of the moons for relationships/love. ❤️ ——————————— You will need: ☄️Crystals☄️ •Moss Agate Chips for improving self esteem •Rose Quartz Chips for attracting love (to yourself)
Herbs •Sage for wisdom of your absolute perfection :) •Rosemary to enhance memory of your beauty if the bottle isn’t around

Steps 1.)Ground/center yourself to get that energy and your intent flowing! 2.) Add the stone chips at the very bottom in any order you choose 3.) Pour some rosemary into the jar. Not too much because we still need to add the scroll in a bit 4.) Add the sage. Again, not too much 5.) Add in a sprinkle of the sunflower petals 6.) Roll up your scroll with a sigil on it so it’s small enough to fit in the tube then tie it with the yellow string/yarn/ribbon then fit it in there 7.) Add in the rose petals. If you accidentally added too much to your bottle (it’s okay, I did too :p), I’d recommend you rip the petals up if you haven’t done so or you can wrap the scroll in the petals to make it fit. 8.) Use this inctation while pumping your energy and intent into the bottle and the ingredients inside by holding the bottle in your hands. I magine the bottle glowing as you fill it with your energy: Anytime version – “[Fill in deity/energy source], help me out with this spell today, So my negative thoughts are at bay. Hold positive thoughts in my mind and ear With self love that will be held dear. Blessed be.” Night time version – “[Fill in deity/energy source], help me out tonight So my negative thoughts are replaced with (your) light. Hold positive thoughts in my mind and ear With self love that will be held dear. Blessed be.”
You did it! You now have a spell jar for self-love! You can switch up this spell any way you want so you’re comfortable, need alternatives to ingredients you don’t have, etc. Lots of love and blessed be!!
