#be nice
The way I view the world today….
I’m a firm believer in intellectual discourse, with studious attention to detail, theoretical research and empirical evidence. Which sadly is lacking, by the overwhelming population, of my fellow countrymen.
A friend in the UK recently said to me, “I fail to understand the overwhelming disparity of education in your country”. Such a carefully veiled and polite way of saying lack of intelligence, wouldn’t you agree
The comment, unfortunately, is substantiated, unarguable, and further proven by the commentary many feel necessary to share with the world at large.
No sector of the world seems sacred anymore, from the professed “authoritarians”.
Criminal and felonious behavior is acceptable. Rudeness and tactlessness “normal”. Compassion without agenda forgotten.
Your station in life, your circumstances, all the excuses at your disposal….remain the same at the end of the day. Excuses.
So if this chastisement hit home… Resonated in some way… of what you’ve seen, heard or even done. Good!
Because it means you still have hope to be part of the cure and not the problem.
In the meantime… I’m going to make aggressive use of the unfollow, unlike & delete button from much of my social media. My platform has always been about acceptability, honesty and integrity. One which I will continue to support and defend vigorously.
Be well my friends.
You can’t love yourself if you hurt others.
remember to be kind today!

Uh .. Hello?
I just joined Tumblr and with the encouragement of a friend I decided to post my art here! :D
This is Alex from EverymanHYBRID. He’s one of my favorite characters and I was listening to “Fluorescent Adolescent” and the idea came to me, I’m still training but I think I’m doing well! ;)
So… That’s it! Have a great day! ;)

Just a little reminder:
You don’t know other people’s history. You only know what you see. You don’t know other people’s minds. You only know what they want you to know.
When you see or meet someone you’re going to form an opinion on them. It’s inevitable, it’s human. But while it’s normal to have an opinion on others, it’s important to remember that it’s nothing more. It’s just an opinion. And opinions can be wrong.
Thatfat girl you saw yesterday that you thought was careless of her body, she may be suffering from an illness, mental or physical. She may already be working her hardest to get to a healthy weight. Just because you think she’s lazy and careless, doesn’t mean she is.
Thatstick-thin boy from your school that you and your friends call a twig, he could just be very thin by nature or he could be sick, too. And he may be doing all he can to gain weight or even just to hold the weight he has. Just because you think you know why he’s so thin, doesn’t mean you’re right.
That guy in your english class that you thought was too lazyand too dumb, he may just have a hard time with the subject or maybe he has troubles in his family or with his friends that occupy his mind and keep him from being able to focus on the task at hand. Just because you don’t think he’s smart, doesn’t mean he isn’t.
That girl that seems to have the perfect grades, perfect body, perfect boyfriend, perfect life, like everything just comes to her naturally, she may still be struggling. She may be working day and night to keep her grades up, her family may still be disrupted and troubled, her relationship might not be the greatest after all. She may just be trying her hardest to make everything seem like it’s normal. Just because it seems perfect and easy, it doesn’t have to be.
And that’s something people need to keep in mind. You don’t see someone’s whole story when you look at them. You don’t hear their whole story when you talk to them. In most cases there’s a lot more to the story than we know. It’s never that easy and nobody’s perfect. And you know what? No one has to be!!

Oh and one more thing: Just because you don’t like the way someone looks or acts or seems doesn’t mean they have to change. The only person one should try to please is oneself! Next time you find yourself judging someone for something you don’t know the story of remind yourself that it’s not your place to judge or be disrespectful.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER: BE NICE. BE RESPECTFUL.
We’re all just doing our best.

Friendly reminder that fan-made content (fanart, fanfic, fanvids, etc) are:
- extremely time consuming. Remember someone actually took time out of their life to create that, time they could’ve used to, idk, sleep, for example
- entertainment you’re consuming for free. I can’t stress this enough: you’re enjoying someone else’s craft for free. You paid exactly zero money to look at/read/watch it.
- S H A R E D with you, not made for you. This is the most important point: someone created that, put it online and you found it. No one forced you to consume that fanwork, you C H O S E to do it.
Whenever you feel like leaving a mean comment, anonymous hate or make a ~clever post about how ‘lol look at all of these overused tropes every fic writer crams into their fics’ remember you’re being a dick to someone who shared their work with you. You’re not being funny, you’re not being edgy, you’re not being brave for calling something out - you’re being a dick.

“I smell the sweet fragrance of lilacs in the breeze. The lovely scent is always so breathtaking. Also when the babies kick my rib cage.”

NEWS FLASH!
Suicide baiting someone by saying things like “Go lick a frog” , “Go make Minecraft 2”, and “Go drink some water”. Is just as bad as telling someone to actually kill their self. It doesn’t make you a better person than someone who actually says it.
Last week i was at a party and there was this girl who looked really pretty. I was a little drunk so i poked her softly and told her she was pretty and it was honestly the best thing i’ve done that week. Her eyes sparkled and she smiled really beautiful. She couldn’t believe it and turned a little bit red.
Sometime little things can light up the day of someone else. So be nice and make others smile even by doing something small.
Her smile was worth it.
