I hated the term “Fuck 2016″. I was so miserable and in denial, I became a bit of a dick about it. I didn’t want to admit there was nothing better to say at times. Ya know?
Sometimes you can’t rationalize what’s happened. You can’t give meaning to a death or a loss. It doesn’t changed the facts. You just have to mourn and let others do the same.
On Tuesday Carrie died. My office was empty. I don’t think I spoke to a single person until I left for the day and chatted with the guy at the front desk and it kinda finally hit me. This comic is sloppy, but I hope the gist is clear. Give yourself time to mourn, talk to people, let them do the same. Please.

Yeah this is one big ramble. I needed to post something, I didn’t try to be totally cohesive and of course I want to be considerate of everyone suffering right now. Let me know if there’s something I can edit.
I’m happy for the calming tactics, I’m happy for those tv shows, buzzfeed lists, songs, etc that are a slight distraction. And they did work. But I also felt better signing up for email lists and staying tuned.
Here is great article about allowing yourself to grieve, though. I don’t want to downplay the need for that.
If you cant donate, please sign up for emails from organizations protecting your rights. Here are places to start. Many of them have petitions you can sign that will go directly to the White house.
Artists using the hashtag #drawdrive are offering art for a donation to those places. Search the hashtag on twitter.

1) Mozart In the Jungle on Amazon Prime (a drama but nothing jarring or upsetting about it) also curb your enthusiasm
2) Vulfpeck’s “Smile Meditation”
3) The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Broad City on Hulu
4) Again, the Lizzie McGuire movie on Netflix
5) FRASIER on Netlfix, also the Nightman Cometh episode of always sunny specifically
6) Getting into a webcomic, check out some on Tapastic or may I suggest starting Strong Female Protagonist (there’s a lot to read, it will take up some time)or Witchy
7) Those Buzzfeed lists that say “Betcha cant get through this post without spending 50 bucks” yadda yadda yeah they work
8) Every Frame a Painting, Nerdwriter and Vox informational videos on Youtube (focus on art-based ones). Also Nostalgia Critic/Chick for some v doofy movie reviews
9) If you have an e-reader, download books from the library.
10) Animal webcams

6/13/2016- Love
This was a little haphazard to put together. It started as a general comic about love after a really bad few weeks for me, and it had to evolve from there. I wanted to try to make something positive and inclusive. I hope this is just that.
However, I don’t want to deter the conversation from the fact that there was a hate crime committed yesterday against the LGBTQIA/Latin-American community and fifty lives were lost. Here are ways you can help Orlando,protest the blood Ban on queer men, also How to help Trans people of Color. (They were written by a dear friend of mine and Queer writer Katie Dupere; this comic is for her). <3
