Tw: transphobia + sexism

I gotta say this is all “ alleged ” because from what I heard he threatens any trans person that dares call him out….

Sooo let’s talk about this dude

{ also no my phone isn’t glitching out, his graphics are just that bad..}

He’s a cis I believe queer man that targets trans people and cis women { mostly cis wlw }

He has a lot of videos of him just harassing and making “ parody ” songs and posts invalidating lgbtq+ people mostly trans people and wlw.

He has “ talks ” with trans people acting as if he just wishes to have a “ friendly ” conversation then harasses them..

He takes photos of trans people and uses them for his “ educational ” aka harassment videos and “ parodies ” mocking their looks. I I believe he takes the photos without their permission..

He also invades trans spaces and women’s spaces to make mocking harassy videos…

He also has underlying hints that feminism is making kids trans???? He also comments and likes many comments claiming feminism and the trans community are

“ cults ”

He and his followers are a danger to trans youth and all lgbtq+ youth as a whole.

Please block and report him

The Philippines has 1 week left until the ATB lapses into law. This law will criminalize dissent & opinions that are directed against the government.

I actually did not speak of this outside of Facebook and Twitter but I received death th/reats on some of my art pages and personal accounts for speaking and making art about and against this bill. Since March to June, a lot of my protest art was constantly reported and taken down on sites.

There has already been multiple wrongful arrests.

My people have been suffering in my country. This bill will label protesters as terrorists and arrest them without warrants. They are still not giving us medical aid. The military continues to consume so much of our country’s budget. They are censoring us to make us quiet.

Please help us junk anti-terror bill.

PETITION: JUNK THE ANTI-TERRORISM BILL AND UPHOLD HUMAN RIGHTS!

If you would like to know more, you can read this twitter thread about it.

I will add more stories of injustice every single time I reblog this.

Let’s start with April 21, 2020 – The murder of Winston Ragos, an ex-military officer.

He was shot near a quarantine control point along Maligaya Drive in Barangay Pasong Putik, Quezon City after he appeared to try to pull something from his sling bag while taunting the law enforcers.

While witnesses were shouting to search Winston first, Master Sergeant Daniel Florendo Jr, shot him twice. Winston’s mother said people were shouting because they believe Winston carried no firearms despite displaying anger at cops. He was mentally ill and could have challenged cops on a whim.

“They think he had bad intentions, but the bag that hung over his neck only has a water bottle inside,” Merlyn told Rappler in a phone interview on Thursday, April 23.

She should know, she said, because she gave her son the bag herself.

Police then reported to the public that they killed Winston because he kept a gun inside his bag.

However, on June 4, 2020, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has concluded that Master Sergeant Daniel Florendo Jr and other police companions murdered former soldier Winston Ragos, planted evidence in the crime scene during the scuffle over enforcing quarantine rules in Quezon City in April.

NBI Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin confirmed to reporters that the bureau has filed complaints of murder, perjury and planting of evidence against Florendo before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office. Murder is a non-bailable offense.

Aside from Florendo, police trainees Joy Flaviano, Arnel Fontillas, Dante Fronda and Dalejes Gaciles are also sued for murder. Florendo and Staff Sargeant Hector Besas are sued for planting of evidence.

June 2, 2020 – The arrest of Piston 6

Six drivers are arrested while holding a protest calling for the resumption of their operations during general community quarantine.

In a statement, transport group Piston said the six who were set to undergo inquest proceedings faced a fine of P3,000 each. Piston, however, argued that those who participated in the protest, including Ruben Baylon, its deputy secretary general, strictly practiced physical distancing and wore face masks.

The Caloocan police initially “invited” them to the police station but later brought them to City Hall for the filing of charges, Piston said. This is illegal detention.

“If it was done forcefully, then that could be considered illegal detention. They [police] must understand that the drivers lost their livelihood for nearly three months because the national government did not allow them to resume operations even under GCQ (general community quarantine),” George San Mateo, Piston national president emeritus, told the Inquirer in a text message.

According to him, the drivers were driven to hold a protest because they were hungry and were not among those who received any cash assistance from the government during the nearly three-month lockdown.

The Piston 6

  • Ruben Baylon
  • Severino Ramos
  • Arsenio Ymas
  • Elmer Cordero – 72 years old

June 5, 2020 – The arrest of Cebu 7

Police arrested 8 people, including minors, during a protest rally against the anti-terrorism bill on Friday, June 5. Among those arrested were 7 activists and one bystander who did not participate in the rally.

The activists were arrested at the protest site near the University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu for violating a ban on mass gatherings under the general community quarantine (GCQ), according to Cebu City police.

The rally started peacefully at around 10 am until the protesters were met by Cebu City police in combat gear and members of the SWAT team.

At least 27 protesters were still stuck inside the campus while police were posted outside, on Gorordo Avenue.

JUNE 26, 2020 - THE ARREST OF PRIDE 20

Police arrested at least 20 people at the Pride March in Mendiola, Manila, on Friday, June 26.

Ten members of LGBTQ+ rights group Bahaghari, 8 from other progressive groups, and two drivers have been detained at the Manila Police District.

They were being charged with disobedience of person in authority in relation to Republic Act 11332, otherwise known as the Law on Reporting of Communicable Diseases, and Batas Pambansa 880, otherwise known as Public Assembly Act.

The protesters were observing physical distancing and other health protocols when the police arrived to disperse them.

The police did not cite any violations while arresting the protesters and only told them, “Nasa batas iyan na bawal iyan (It’s in the law that it’s prohibited),” without citing any specific law. Here is a video of that exchange.  [2

Here is a video of them hijacking a private vechicle

Prior to the the “grand mananita” themed indignation rally on Philippine Independence Day, June 12, human right lawyers had stressed that the Bayanihan To Heal As One Act as well as the public health law, Republic Act No. 11332 or the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases Act, do not prohibit rallies.

At 10 am on Friday, the group marched from Morayta and held a program near the Mendiola Peace Arch to “resist [President Rodrigo] Duterte’s tyranny.”

The Bahaghari-led protest was held to celebrate Pride month and to oppose the anti-terrorism bill.

This happened LITERALLY LAST WEEK.

*SWEAR WARNING*

Okay, I am fucking ready to throw hands with the Florida Government. This “Don’t Say Gay” bill would prevent both LGBTQ children and teachers from talking about that. A literal child wouldn’t be able to talk about their own parents if their parents are LGBTQ. Not oy that, but this is severely detrimental to the mental health of both out and closeted children. I for one am disgusted by this bill and beg everyone to sign the petition to get it abolished. Signing is free and takes less than five minutes. Please, this legislation is disgusting, an infringement on people’s rights, and just plain fucked up.

Please share this!

Oh oh ohhh this is so not cool. I can’t believe they’re going there. A jaw droppingly LGBTQ hate and racist kind of not cool.

Florida governor DeSantis is directly targeting Disney World for being conspicuously LGBTQ equality supportive, and throwing the weight of his office to take them down for it… and more than that, if you read his written statement to his supporters, it’s racist too.

YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON IN FLORIDA… read it here:

The “Don’t Say Gay” laws that DeSantis is fighting dirty for are laws aimed at making it illegal to even mention the existence of LGBTQ people in schools, including giving guidance, protection from bullying, and emotional support to LGBTQ children, and erasing all LGBTQ history from being taught or discussed in schools. Beyond safe sex and inclusiveness- Pride and Stonewall civil rights history? It would be illegal to discuss. The very local Pulse massacre? Illegal history too. “Help- I’m gay and my dad is beating me…” pleas from children to teachers or guidance counselors? Illegal too.

IT’S REPOST TIME, NETIZENS!

Update on the situation with my access to the steroid inhaler I need to live…

After a lot of unbelievable screw ups, transmasc discrimination, melodramatic cisgender fragility, manipulative corporate head games, and stonewalling & gaslighting to cover their asses, I finally got the telehealth provider app people to prescribe a 3 month supply of my steroid asthma inhaler… after having to beg and plead the manufacturer on my own to bend the rules to allow me to get renewed into their subsidized prescription program, because the telehealth provider refused to fax in my prescription and the renewal forms to them. The meds are super expensive, and I can’t afford them any other way.

It was a battle after I qualified too, because the telehealth people at first refused to write my prescription, saying they already did, then they sent an Albuterol rescue inhaler script instead of the right prescription to the steroid inhaler manufacturer (who doesn’t even make Albuterol), and when I complained, they said that I was never on the steroid inhaler at all, and lying about it (though there’s a year of records of it with the manufacturer). After much verbal abuse and head games to try to drive me off, I got them to straighten it out. The manufacturer had to rush expedite my prescription to get it to me in time. (The telehealth app people also pulled other related gaslighting and discrimination crap that’s too traumatic to discuss further here)

I’m now stuck searching for a new telehealth provider app. I’d be a fool to risk my life and emotional trauma to go through that crap again… and the reason why I’m using telehealth app services at all is because of violent anti transmasc discrimination locally. I still don’t have access to emergency or local health care because I’m Transmasc in a Deep South state.

…and I wouldn’t even need any of this shit if my bigoted landlord would enforce the posted anti smoke (and p0t) laws in the building where I live. I’d still be running marathons, not bed bound, trying to find a lawyer willing to represent a Transmasc person’s civil rights.

Fucking tired of this shit.

Update on the Better Business Bureau situation-

I’ve been pursuing reporting in-house to them the discrimination that I’ve experienced, for them to address it, and receiving intense hostility and discrimination from both their state and international levels when I’ve attempted to do so. It’s shocking.

At this point, I keep getting manipulative doublespeak, down speaking, and hostile denials of court admissible documented evidence of everything…trying to make me go away.

I’m continuing to pursue it, because it’s anti-Transmasc, LGBTQ discriminatory, and corruption. If they don’t get their shit straightened out, I’ve informed them that I’ll take it to the press- they’ve been under major press investigations radar for a few years now for shady business practices (retaining listings of business safety “A” ratings, though the businesses had lost against customers in court and found at fault, solely because the BBB is getting their pockets lined by the businesss via membership dues). It’s very likely that the press would have interest in what evidence I have to present.

The numbers are in! All Out and LUSH Cosmetics reached tens of millions of people with the message that #GayIsOK, but in almost 80 countries it’s a crime. You blew past our goal within hours.

The best part is that the money raised from purchase of the Love Soap totaled over £275,955 - around US$413,900 or €378,200 - and will support All Out and grassroots organisations fighting for love and equality worldwide!

Thank you to everyone who took part in one of the biggest conversations around this issue EVER.

In a secret meeting last week, Australia’s Prime Minister banned members of his party from voting ‘Yes’ on marriage equality. It was a dirty move.

But a few brave politicians have promised to take a stand for love and vote 'Yes’ anyway. If a few more rebellious politicians join in, marriage equality could have enough support to pass.

So that got us to thinking… imagine if members of Parliament could see beautiful photos of gay and lesbian couples who HAVE been allowed to marry – like in the UK, Canada, and the USA – just before they’re deciding what to do. It’d remind them of the global wave of marriage wins and show that the tide can’t be held back.

All Out members from around the world sent in photos to make this beautiful video. If enough people chip in, we can buy an advertising slot on Sky News – a channel that streams inside Parliament. The powerful message could get enough politicians to join the rebellion and vote 'Yes’ on marriage equality.

Will you chip in to make it happen? Here’s the link: go.allout.org/en/a/australia-equality-advert

For anyone who has unsupportive family this PRIDEmonth

Congratulations!! I’m your family now. Hydrate, eat your fruits and veggies, and know that I’m proud of you.

“Carolyn Meiller is working on her dissertation project looking at sexual pleasure for curvy, queer, women. […] Because research on curvy, queer, women is limited, and when focuses on sex mostly focuses on the negative aspects of sex, I am hoping to raise the varied experiences curvy, queer, women have with sex and sexual pleasure. I hope this data will be used to create a theory for how identity, societal messages, and other external forces influence the experiences of pleasure for curvy, queer, women. Furthermore, I hope this research will be used to further promote sexual health, justice, and fair treatment for curvy, queer, women in medical and mental health settings. Individuals who participate in interviews will receive $20 to compensate them for their time. I appreciate any help you can provide!”

How Being The First Non-Binary Person Vying For Miss Colorado USA Changed Their Life

Beauty pageants don’t always elicit the most enthusiastic responses in 2019. The idea of women being judged based on antiquated beauty ideals and outdated gender stereotypes seems less and less relevant as our society continues to evolve to be more understanding and accepting of identities and approaches to gender that were virtually non-existent just a few decades ago.

But that’s not how O. Stecina, a 19-year-old non-binary college student, sees beauty pageants. Or, at least, it’s not how they see it since participating in one.

Stecina, who does not identify as either male or female and uses they/them pronouns, competed in the 2019 Miss Colorado USA pageant. On Oct. 26, they stood alongside 73 other contestants intent on winning the title, which was first handed out in 1952. But Stecina wasn’t contending for the Miss Colorado USA crown. They were vying for, if anything, the Mx. Colorado USA crown.

“I’d kind of thrown around the idea of doing a pageant before I realized I was non-binary,” Stecina told HuffPost on the phone last month. “I wanted to give myself permission to be beautiful outside the confines of womanhood and I’m interested in breaking those gender stereotypes, so it’s not about womanhood necessarily, it’s about beauty in all genders. Also, it seemed a little absurd ― it’s the last thing anyone would expect me to do, so I wanted to go for it” [laughs].
