GLUTE ACTIVATION: why is it important⁉️

Your glutes are the POWERHOUSE of your legs. Warm muscles are happy strong muscles. When your glutes are warmed up and activated, it takes the pressure off your knees and back and prevents injury.

These are a few warm up exercises I like to do on leg day to activate/warm up my glutes. As well as foam rolling and stretching

AT HOME DUMBBELL WORKOUT
Stuck at home cause of bad weather? Don’t let that be an excuse to slack on your fitness! Try this at home dumbbell circuit—
▪️5 minutes warm up- butt kickers
Circuit- complete the specified reps of each exercise, then move straight on to the next. Do the entire circuit three times through!
▪️dumbbell squat to curl to press, 15 reps
▪️dumbbell row to tricep kickback, 15 reps
▪️burpees (yes push-up, jump if you like), 10 reps
▪️weighted glute bridges, 20 reps
▪️penguins, 20 reps

Looking for a way to turn your workout up a few notches?! Try adding in sets of tabata throughout your lifting! It’s a great way to keep your heart rate up and burn more calories. It’s super simple too- just do 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest, and repeat 8 times for a total of four minutes You can do almost any movement! Here I’m doing kettle bell snatches, but you can also do dumbbell cleans (these kill), squats, lunges, step ups, anything that gets your heart pumping! Try these out and feel the burn
