Just a few things that made me think about all of you Guys and gals, you’re stinkin awesome. I just spent the greater part of my evening chatting with a person who is absolutely incredible in so many ways. She was down on herself and in reaching out, I really hope I was able to convey to her that she is beautiful, and that she’s worth it. That she can believe in herself, dream big, discover great things, achieve amazing things… The truth is, we can all let the world tell us everything that’s wrong with us. We can let the world put us in those crammed boxes with all the lables people put on us. Smash it, guys. Break out! It took me so long to figure this out myself. I allowed the world to take things that I was passionate about and table them, put them on the back burner, forget about it because you’re “an adult now”. Or “you’re not good enough”. Or all the other excuses we hand ourselves every day. Dimming that light of faith and hope that lives in all of us. Faith in ourselves. Hope for a fulfilled life and world around us. Look. Adulting is neccesary. We have to adult. The world needs us to take care of it, and each other. But guess what? It also needs us to take care of ourselves. We need to be fulfilled in our lives so we can fulfill the lives of others and the world around us. It’s our passions, the things that inspire us, that make us individually incredible. It’s our diversity that makes us fit together so beautifully, it makes us stronger. Embrace it. Allow yourself to dream a bit, allow yourself to love and believe in yourself and others. Share your passion. Share your talents. Be proud of who you are. Be generous with who you are. Be kind, brave, courageous. Do what you can to be a positive in the lives of those around you. Drop the labels. Kick down the proverbial boxes, and just be the best human you can possibly be. It all starts with you. It starts with me. One person. Believing in themselves enough. To know that everyone is valuable. Is worthy. We can all reach our goals and be great. We can all make a difference. The best part? You are not alone. And I believe in you. You’re truly amazing people. Trust yourself enough to follow what you’re true self knows it needs to do. Do good. Be well. I adore you all. Stay awesome.
Happy Book Birthday @dr.alexandra.solomon! Her amazing book, LOVING BRAVELY is available today! ⠀ .⠀ Real love starts with you. In order to attract a life partner and build a healthy intimate relationship, you must first become a good partner to yourself. This book offers twenty invaluable lessons that will help you explore and commit to your own emotional and psychological well-being so you can be ready, resilient, and confident in love.⠀ .⠀ Many of us enter into romantic relationships full of expectation and hope, only to be sorely disappointed by the realization that the partner we’ve selected is a flawed human being with their own neuroses, history, and desires. Most relationships end because one or both people haven’t done the internal work necessary to develop self-awareness and take responsibility for their own experiences. We’ve all heard “You can’t love anyone unless you love yourself,” but amid life’s distractions and the myth of perfect, romantic love, how exactly do you do that?⠀ .⠀ In Loving Bravely, psychologist, professor and relationship expert Alexandra H. Solomon introduces the idea of relational self-awareness, encouraging you to explore your personal history to gain an understanding of your own relational patterns, as well as your strengths and weaknesses in relationships. By doing so, you’ll learn what relationships actually require, beyond the fairytale notions of romance. And by maintaining a steady but gentle focus on yourself, you’ll build the best possible foundation for making a loving connection.⠀ .⠀ By understanding your past relationship experiences, cultivating a strong sense of self-awareness, and determining what it is you really want in a romantic partner—you’ll be ready to find the healthy, lasting love your heart desires.⠀ *⠀ *⠀ *⠀ #kpcrew #bookbirthday #newbooks #booklover #lovebooks #love #relationships #mindful #mindfulness #empowered #empower #empowerment #achieve #goals #goal #swiperight #brave #lovingbravely #loving #marriage #romance #date #dating #inspire #valentinesday #relationshipgoals #readingislove #lovebetter

Go out of your way to make someone smile, whether that’s helping out your local community, even being friendly to a stranger, friend, family member, and/or spouse. It is great to do this daily, but actually taking the time to do it is not only helpful and rewarding to the other person, but also for yourself. It makes you feel good to make someone happy and smile.
