It’s been a while since I upload a practice video. I was taking a break from sharing my private rituals, but it feels like it is a good time to post one.
I recorded this video a couple weeks ago. The spellcrafting in this video involves herbal and sigil magic.
When it comes to magical practices, the most important thing to remember is doing what you feel is correct and necessary. Power comes from within, and only you know how to unlock it. This is only an example on how I do my own practices.

There are a lot of “curse breakers” out there. Here’s one that’s pretty simple, and seems to be effective (for me at least)
What You’ll Need: - Pen & Paper - Fire Safe Bowl - Charcoal (activated, powder, or ground works best. a coal disk would work) - Matches or lighter - Salt - Grapefruit (dried rind, dried pulp, or dried slices; even seeds would work) and/or Lemon (same as grapefruit, just make sure it’s dry) - Coconut flakes - Vinegar
+ any other herbs you feel may break a curse, like sage, lavender, bay leaf, licorice root, etc. etc.
What to do:
This spell is best done during the end of the week (Thursday - Saturday) in the later hours of the day (5pm - 10pm), but it can be done at any time of day, on any day, at any phase of the moon.
1 - Using the pen and paper, write down what you want to stop. It can be something simple like “I am no longer cursed” or “The negativity that has been plaguing me will stop”. Something like that. If you’d like to go into detail, feel free to, especially if you know who/what is cursing you. Follow your gut. The main point is to illustrate what is going on and what you want to stop.
2 - Fold up the paper (as many times as you like) and set it aside. (You may choose to place crystals / herbs associated with protection around the paper.)
3 - Place the charcoal into the fire safe bowl and light it with the matches or the lighter. Get yourself a decent little fire going. It doesn’t have to be very big. Be sure to practice fire safety!(We don’t need another gender reveal incident happening, now do we?)
4 - Using your fingers, (or a spoon, whatever works for you) carefully sprinkle some salt into the fire. Let the fire burn for a few seconds.
5 - Next, carefully place the grapefruit and/or lemon into the fire. Let them burn for a few seconds.
6 - Then, carefully add the coconut flakes (you don’t need too many, just a sprinkling) to the fire. Let it burn for a few seconds.
Note - If you’re adding any other herbs based on your own correspondences, this is when you would add them. Be sure to add them one at a time, carefully, and waiting a few seconds in between.
7 - Take the piece of paper that you sat aside earlier. Dip your finger (or wand or athame; just be careful, as vinegar is an acid that could damage some things used for wands) into the vinegar and drag it across the paper. You can draw sigils if you want, but I usually just drag my finger from one corner of the fold to the other, diagonally, making a sort of “x” shape.
8 - After that, carefully place the paper into the fire and let it burn. Try to let it burn until it’s ash, but ultimately you can decide when it’s done. After you’ve done so, put out the fire (or let it burn out, just be careful and be sure to watch it!) and dispose of the ashes / remains once they’ve cooled. You can bury them or just chuck them in the garbage, whatever works.
And that’s it. This can be paired with blessings and other protection workings. I find that a protection bath after doing this is delightful.

When I first started this blog, I was a completely different person using a completely different main blog. I’ve changed a lot in the years since then, so many older posts might not reflect my current opinions or beliefs. Regardless, I’ve decided to keep all of my original posts up, unedited.
Since I’ve learned more about myself and my craft in the last couple of years, I intend to be as true to myself as possible going forward. My beliefs, correspondences, etc. etc. are going to differ heavily from what’s traditional and pre-established.
I’ve also stopped taking requests. My inbox was full of rude people spamming me, expecting me to do everything for them. It’s insulting. My asks are still open, but please understand that I’m a person, and that you are not entitled to my time or work.
I’ve redone my /about, /faq, and /todolist. I’ve also included a /dni.
My new main blog is @chill-witch-of-the-west, if you’re interested. There’s not much there, but I wanted people to know that it’s me.
I intend to do more with @potionsblog, too, in time.
I’ll check in on these blogs once a week or so, just so I don’t become overwhelmed again. I’m mainly focusing on my private, personal craft IRL.
Earthing- The act of going outdoors barefoot and absorbing the earth’s energy through the soles of your feet. Sometimes we don’t need crystals, herbs, incense, or oils to cleanse and replenish our aura. Next time you are feeling out of balance try simply taking yourself outside and wiggling your naked toes in the dirt or grass. Feel the circle of life around you, connect with mother nature and she will reward your effort with healing and peace.
Sorry I haven’t been active since April! In march I preformed a very successful spell to help me with my job hunt, I got the perfect fulltime job pursuing my passion of working with kids. I have been so busy these past summer months, but now that September is here my days aren’t so hectic and I can manage my blog again
I just wanna throw it out there that my 3rd cousin on my mom’s dad’s side(who’s a witch and most of her family [i.e my abuelo’s side] like never talk to her/about her because of it) made my Aunt Irene this candle that like is supposed to attract your ideal man and when it’s flame dies out, he’s supposedly close to meeting you.
OKAY
So like now- My Aunt Irene is married to my Uncle Marlon who she met on MATCH.COM like three days after her candle’s flame died and like they have 2 kids and it’s great and I’m over here like:
For real tho, like I wish I knew her whole process so I could like do it for myself. My aunt paid like $40 for that candle.
UPDATE:
I reconnected with my cousin Eliana and she made me a love candle FOR FREE.
She also taught me A LOT about the craft and helped me discover some powers I didn’t even know I had.

I’m sorry I go on hiatus often ~ life just be like that sometimes….
Starting to delve deeper into my spirituality, inspired by the love of my life.
A while back ago, my cousin made me a love candle. It’s purpose was to draw in the man that I needed right now. She’d told me he’d be here within a year (candle was done in Dec. 2020).
Now, they say love hits you like a ton of bricks completely out of nowhere and they’re absolutely right.
I met my boyfriend in November of 2021 and at first just thought he was going to be another male friend that I’d be in love with for the rest of my life and he’d never do anything about it. And, I was so wrong.
It took her a minute to work on himself and get his shit together but once he did, he opened his arms and his heart to me. We’ve been together for a month and some and there is no doubt in my mind that he is my absolute soulmate.
Everytime I look into his eyes, I feel a familiar safety blanketing me. He is indeed everything that I’ve ever wanted and everything I need. I’m so excited for the infinity that is to come with my special man.
