It’s passionate and sounds warm / The words roll off of your tongue, perfect for cursing out an enemy or praising someone you love / Italian culture has a big emphasis on family, and Gry needs the people they consider their family to help them shine / Same fundamentals as the Slytherin French, but thefeeling is different, more fiery and based on outright expression rather than carefully chosen words
Ravenclaw: Korean (South Korean)
A pleasingly methodical language / But that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun or doesn’t allow for creative expression / Korean culture values respect and academic understanding, two things Ravenclaw knows are important in their view of the world / Attitudes of Koreans and Ravenclaws are surprisingly similar, with an appreciation for history and culture paired with excitement for the developments the future brings and a love of witty humour
Hufflepuff: Danish
The language sounds friendly and fun / Have you ever encountered the Danish word ‘hygge’? It pretty much sums up the way Hufflepuffs like to live their life: everyday cosiness, with an emphasis on doing what is enjoyable to create happiness / Naturally, this attitude helps create a homely, warm and welcoming atmosphere that others sense around Huffs / Often forgotten and underappreciated, but those who notice are always pleasantly surprised by the little gem they’ve found
It’s a regal language, notoriously more difficult than it appears but so, so beautiful / Stuck up, but with good reason tbh / It’s a language of poetry, politics, and passion, but nothing seems done entirely spontaneously / There’s a feeling of a careful maintenance of appearances, but damn, they pull it off every time / Both have mastered the art of sounding like they’re complimenting you when they’re telling you how stupid you are
(I know this focuses predominantly on European languages, but I didn’t want to writ about languages I haven’t heard before and write something that misses the feel of the language/culture, but I’ll happily do one with other languages if you guys want :D )

Hufflepuff:

Ravenclaw:
Want to sit in a café and read whilst sipping a seasonal drink / Gets in the mood for Halloween by reading conspiracies and Creepypasta, and watching Buzzfeed Unsolved / Loves wearing extra scarves / Their chilled evenings-in feel so much more satisfying when it’s cold outside
Hufflepuff:
Overdoses on Halloween sweets / Wants to watch as many horror films as possible (will probably end up watching Disney after they’ve finished traumatising themselves) / Looks cute in oversized jumpers / Cold weather is the best excuse for them to drink hot chocolate every day
Slytherin:
Feels more powerful when Halloween is in the air / Has ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ on loop, and likes to yell out ‘THIS IS HALLOWEEN’ at any given moment / They start to play with even darker make-up and clothing / Feels safe when they’re wrapped up inside and it’s miserable outside

Although they share the same name which is Aurora Ranvier, her traits are 100% different than how i portrayed her as y/n here and in my drawings. This Aurora is everything that tumblr Aurora isn’t. She’s grumpy, sensitive, hot headed, quiet, awkward, but she’s quite bright. While tumblr Aurora is as chaotic as the twins.
I wanted to do some character development throughout her times at Hogwarts. She’s pretty adventurous, but she is nowhere fearless, she’s scared of ghost. I would love to share her background stories here as well in the form of fanfic. But for now, here’s first year Aurora and second year Aurora side by side

The red circle on the calendar glared at her mockingly. Game Night. The lady in the picture on the calendar litterally glared at her and she took that as her cue to stop staring at a wall and stalling and just go play a stupid game.
They’d been asking about it for months after she accidentally mentioned playing the game with her family on vacations. Her muggle family. She didn’t hate her family or even her status as a “muggleborn student”. But in slytherin, she heard it could be a touchy subject. Anywho.
She grabbed the cardboard box and headed into the common room.
The noise of about a dozen children, caffeinated at nearly midnight on a Friday, was enough to get her spirits higher.
“Who’s ready for Monopoly, Bitches!”
A mixture of excited responses and reprimands for cursing came at twice the volume. Beaming excitedly (albeit a bit nervous) she took up her throne at the end of the table, proudly donning the Game Master cape, and began explaining the rules of the game. Everyone seemed so excited. Their arguement over the player pieces. The multiple death threats. So many people in jail. At some point, one of the older students brought out a large box that they promptly marked as the jail. Yes it was used.
“Just so you know, I’m going to remember this next week when people start asking for notes or study help for finals.” A rather disgruntled ravenclaw threatened to deaf ears from the jail.
“Just so you know, maybe you shouldn’t have bought my last property, loser.” A first year at the end of the table shot back, earning a round of laughter from everyone at the table.
“This is one the the best game nights weve had in a really long time. You’re malicious! And to think we thought you might belong to hufflepuff.” To her right, her best friend teased where only they could hear.
“To think I was afraid people would think this game was stupid. It’s just.. well is a sill little-” flustered, she stumbled over her grasp of vocabulary.
“No one would ever make fun of you because it’s a muggle game. It’s a fun game, you got travis to sit in a cardboard box for 23 minutes. Any game that can do that is a good game in my book. No matter where it came from.” Her best friend proudly declared, rolling the dice.
The laughter fell.
There was a silence as everyone counted the number of spaces and terror filled their expressions.
Her best friend solemnly moved a little metal caricature onto one of her properties. With great care. “Mate. Ol pal. Mi amigo. We can talk about this.”
