Baptism is the ceremony where parents and a priest bless a baby in the name of the Christian God and signifies that the child will be brought up Christian.

 Wiccaning, also known as paganing and saining, on the other hand is what happens when a baby is blessed with protection, health, and happiness. There is no obligation or strings attached that bind you to any one religion or practice, and wiccaning can be adapted to any religion. 

“The Wiccaning is a magickal ceremony for the parents to seek wisdom and guidance, and set their own intentions as they responsibly guide their child in understanding of our world.“ - Michelle 

This ceremony is done like so:

1. Create a traditional altar, adding items such as a special garment and a special amulet for the child to wear that will grant them protection throughout life. Other than that, add the basics such as tributes to each element, gods and ancestors, and whatever tools you may use to create your sacred space
2. Create a sort of a temple by casting a circle around the altar. This is around when you would light the candles and incense and whatever else
3. Next, the parents of the child will carry it to the altar while any attending guests will form a circle around them
4. There are certain words that should be said here, but it largely varies per group and intent, so just do your research and practice a script beforehand
5. Finish the ceremony by closing the circle however it is traditionally closed 

There is a separate wiccan ceremony of induction called an initiation, and it requires having been studying for a year and a day after declaring ones dedication to the craft. After the initiation, there is more study and practice required of course, but the initiation is a proclaiming to anything and everything that you are a regularly practicing witch.

Wiccanings may also be merged with naming ceremonies, in which the only change would be in the words the parents speak. In this, they will do the ceremony specifically on the tenth day after the baby’s birth.

Items Needed
5 Small “Cotton” bags, 1 Red, 1 yellow, 1 Blue, 1 Green, 1 purple,
5 or more herbs that fit the color and elements. “Chart At bottom”

Instructions.
1.) Then you’re going to need to pick one or more herbs that are listed by their association and stick them in the proper bag,

2.) Take the bags and post them into the ground in their Proper direction, and find the rough center and place the last one into the ground.

3.) Calling the corners and stand in the center you and your bloodline are the elements of the Spirit
      “From east to south, North to west, I call you Mother of witches, to attend and bless, to brew my spells and honor you well, with my hands steadfast, this circle be cast.”

4.) The next Spell is the four corners protection spell invasion yourself surrounded by Arcane light of your ancestors,(this is where spirit come into play)
Face North= By the power of the North, protective energy now flow forth
Face East= By the power of the East, bring wisdom in my reach
Face South= By the power of the South, I do not fear nor do I doubt
Face west=By the power of west, Flood, and flow and coalesce
Arms above head= Protection around me, Above me Below me, From all directions, Love and hold me, by the power of Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Spirit
Dropping arms slowly= this spell be bound. So Mote It Be.

Note: when hands are above head, imagine the arcane light becoming a ball of light, and when Saying “this spell be bound. So Mote It Be” you are dropping your arms slowly to let the ball of light fall onto the ground flooding it with arcane light this is creating the protection on your land.

5.) Close the Circle
“And now we’re done with harm to none, I inhale the power of the magic in this hour, Stay if you will but go if you must, with these words my circle is down.”

Protection amulet

Items needed

-Piece of jewelry your choice, (rusting resistant)
-Rose of Jericho
-Small bowl of Water

Step 1- Place the rose of Jericho into a small bowl of water let it open up.

Step 2- once the rose of Jericho is open pull it out of the water and place it on a towel or in a dry bowl,

Step 3- Place the jewelry onto the center of the rose of Jericho and let it close up

Step 4- take the now dried and closed up rose of Jericho with the jewelry in the center and place it back into that same bowl of water you might have to top it off, now that its back in the bowl of water you’re going to say the following,

I place onto this/these (name the item)
the power of protection to its bearer,
A shield I call forth from the elements
Earth, Air, Fire, an water.
Unseen, untouched, unmoved
This is my will so mote it be.

Step 5- At this time the rose of Jericho should be opening up you may now dry it off and wear it keep the water in a small jar and when you feel like you need to boost the amulet just dip it in to the water, also the amulet can be charged in the moon light.

Items Needed.

• 1 Red Apple
• 2 bay leaves
• 4 Whole Cloves
• 1 Green Chime candle or a white
• Small pot of half and half water/vinegar

Step 1- Cut the apple in half horizontally.

Step 2- write bad Luck reversed like “kcuL daB” on to the bay leaves,

Step 3- Take the bay leaves and put the writing face down on to the apples star on both sides. Take the whole clove and pin the bay leaves to the apple with the cloves one on each end of the bay leaf.

Step 4- Light your candle and then drop the apple into the pan of water/vinegar on the stove/fireplace or whatever you use to cook on and let it start to boil. Then you are going to repeat these words Below.

“Today is not my day
Everything has gone astray
Bad luck coming my way
Wane back to back
Good Luck shall now be the way
Flows to me day to day
Blocking bad lucks way”

Step 5- Let the candle burn down and the water to cool completely then add into a Misting Spray bottle and Spray and walk into the mist just say.

“Luck luck come my way
With the mist on this day”

Stay Faithful Honey Bee

Items/Ingredients

*Item of partner that they wear often- E.g. watch, Shoes, necklace, ring,

*Small Jar

*3 spoons Basil (Dried & Ground)

*7 Rose petals (Dried & Ground)

*3 Apple (Dried & Ground)

*Bay Laurel (Dried & Ground)

Step 1- Grind all the ingredients into a powder.

Step 2- Put them all into the Jar and you are going to whisper into the jar as such.

“Love we Promised
Love we give
Is ours and ours alone
Strangers kiss are like a
Bubbling bee’s sting.
When they Cross their queen.
Stay in the honey pool or else
face the honey hive’s tortured
Sting.”

Step 3- Now that you have spelled your herbs, your going to place the item/s of your partner on your altar or work space and then Sprinkle the powder over the item/s and then say,

“This amulet i activate with
This word of power “animatus” Aka animate"

Step 4- Then let them wear the items and make sure they don’t know about this spell you cast over them.

Child protection spell

Ingredients

• Salt 1cup
• sand 2 cups
• black pepper 1 tablespoon
• roses 1 teaspoon
• Lavender 1 teaspoon

Grind all ingredients but the sand into a powder, then your going to mix it into the sand and as you do stirring clockwise, while doing this say the following.

“Safe and protected this child will be, until they return to me, with the mothering gaze of the goddess they will be out of harms way, by the goddesses blessing this is my wish so this is my will, So mote it be”

To use this you will Sprinkle it on your door step just before your kids leave your house for school or even as adults to work, if they are infants just touch the bottom of their feet with your finger dipped in it.

Side note: also sand from home lands are better if you can get your hands on it

Items Needed
~ Witches Water
~ 2 white candles
~ Black string
~ 2 small bones
~ 1 White dressed candle “Power Oil”
~ Nag Champa Incense
~ Sea salt

Step 1. You’re going to light the two white candles that’s set on the Left and Right of your altar and your incense then you’re going to light the white candle Dressed with Power Oil. that in the center,

Step 2. Cross the bones into a solar cross this means equal arms and tie them with the black thread while saying the following below.
  “By Bone and marrow, absorbs and hold negativity
In goes all negativity and evil. Into the bone.”

Step 3. Now to use the witches water while you sprinkle it one to the bone say the following,
   “With Water, I consecrate this amulet, an instrument that holds
Negativity sent to its weaver.”

Step 4. Sprinkle with sea salt, say the following.
    “With Earth, I consecrate this amulet an instrument that holds
Negativity and evil sent to its weaver.”

Step 5. Pass through the candle fire, and say the following.
     “With Fire, I consecrate this amulet an instrument that holds
Negativity and evil sent to its weaver”

Step 6. Pass the amulet through the incense and say the following,
     “With Air, I consecrate this amulet an instrument that holds
Negativity and evil sent to its weaver”

Note: this is to be worn or you can place it in your house windows as you please,

Basil Tea

(I promise it tastes better than it sounds)

Ingredients:

• 4 fresh basil leaves
• Water
• 1 lemon (3-5 drops of juice to taste)
• 1 teaspoon of honey
• A teaspoon of raw sugar

Directions:

Pick the freshest basil leaves and wash them gently to avoid blemishing the leaves.

Place the leaves in the strainer

Boil water in a kettle.

Put the hot boiling water into your cup or mug. Then, put the fresh basil leaves into it with the other ingredients.

Let it set for around 3-4 minutes until the water turns into a bit of a golden colour.

Using the strainer, remove the leaves.

Struggles of a Witch

I was busy doing a protection spell in my room when my mother and father walked in. Normally, I’m not shy about talking about my hobbies to people close to me.

However, witchcraft is something very personal to me and I know my parents would never support my hobby, even if I tried to convince them. My dad asked me what I was doing out of curiosity. When I refused to tell him, he got angry at me and tried to guilt trip me into telling him.

“Why don’t you tell us anything anymore?”

Because everytime I do, you get angry at me or disappointed in me.

“We tell you everything, why can’t you do the same for us?”

Parental relations is a huge difference of power. So even if you do tell me something (which you usually don’t anyways, each time you talk to me you just point out my flaws), I can never have a negative reaction to it, unlike you to me.

“You ask us for something, and we agree right away without asking anything else. Do you think it’s fair that you don’t do the same? I don’t.”

First of all, you never agree to me automatically whenever I do ask you something. In fact, mom usually is the one who tries to help me. Second, don’t you dare talk to me about “fair”. You’re so hypocritical, you never stop to think about what others feel. Third, I didn’t ask for your opinion. If I don’t wanna tell you something, I’m not obligated to tell you. Every single time you don’t get your way, you throw a fit. Grow some understanding of boundaries.

(Sorry for ranting, I just get riled up whenever a negative situation happens out of witchcraft, because I really love magick. I don’t want any bad feelings coming from it.)

So now that we’ve grown a bit as a community and as a family (again im still freakin out thank you so much!!) what do y’all think I should focus on moving forward? any ideas or suggestions im completely open to! The Clairs are physic abilities that we have, now we don’t have all of them although it’s possible to train them, it is hard though. 

Clairvoyance means clear seeing.
This is when visions past, present and future flash through our mind’s eye, or third eye, much like a daydream. Many of us are highly visual and able to understand an idea best when we see it written or sketched out as an image on a computer screen or on a canvas. Visual people often choose to be artists, builders, photographers, decorators, designers and so forth. If this sounds familiar, your clairvoyance is most likely a dominant sense.

Clairaudience means clear hearing.
This is when we hear words, sounds or music in our own mind’s voice. On rare occasions, spirit may be able to create audible sound, though this takes a tremendous amount of focused energy. Some of us best retain and comprehend information when we hear it spoken aloud. Our natural talents tend to lie in our auditory faculties, often making us gifted musicians, singers, writers and public speakers. If this feels right to you, clairaudience may be a leading sense for you.

Clairsentience means clear feeling.
This entails feeling a person’s or spirit’s emotions or feeling another’s physical pain. Many of us are clairsentient without consciously being aware of it. When we get a strong “gut” feeling, positive or negative, about someone we just met or when we get the “chills” for no apparent reason, we may be tuning into the emotional energy of a person or a spirit around us. When we are highly sensitive and are in tune with not only our own feelings, but also the feelings of others, this makes us natural healers and caregivers. We often feel inspired to pursue careers as doctors, therapists, counselors, nannies and teachers. If this is you, clairsentience is at the top of your senses list.

This is being able to smell odors that don’t have any kind of physical source. Instances of this could include smelling the perfume or the cigarette smoke of a deceased relative, used as a sign of their presence around us. When our sense of smell is strong and distinct, we may find that certain smells connect us to past memories or we may be drawn to working as a florist, a wine taster or a perfume fragrance creator.

Clairgustance means clear tasting.
This is the ability to taste something that isn’t actually there. This experience oftentimes comes from out of the blue when a deceased loved one is attempting to communicate a memory or association we have with a particular food or beverage that reminds us of them. If we have a heightened sense of taste, this would make us natural chefs, bakers or food critics.

Claircognizance means clear knowing.
This is when we have knowledge of people or events that we would not normally have knowledge about. Spirit impresses us with truths that simply pop into our minds from out of nowhere. An example of this would be a premonition: a forewarning of something that will happen in the future. Claircognizance requires tremendous faith because there’s often no practical explanation for why we suddenly “know” something. Many philosophers, professors, doctors, scientists, religious and spiritual leaders and powerful sales and business leaders tend to be highly intuitive and seem to just know the facts with a sense of certainty. If this is you, consider claircognizance as one of your dominant senses.
