How to Make a Flower Crown!

I made myself a flower crown today and I wanted to share it with you all. Flower Crowns are really awesome, and everyone deserves one.

I used the Weaving method, detailed below in the link provided! Here’s a visual guide as well, if you’re a visual learner like myself.

Cap the lid tightly. At this point you can seal the bottle with candle wax if you choose. Add symbols of protection, your family seal, or anything you feel compelled to draw on the lid or the jar itself. When you’re finished, take another few minutes to sit quietly and add your intentions to the jar, then bury it as close as you can to your front door.

What you need :

  • A jar
  • 1/3 cup of salt
  • 3 sewing needles (or other related pins)
  • 3 iron nails (as big as will fit in the jar)
  • 9 tines from your broom
  • 3 tablespoons of protective herbs
  • A teaspoon of dirt from your yard
  • Red wine (or even your own urine)

Pour the salt into the jar and say: Salt for purification.

Add the sewing needles, saying: As I myself sew the threads of my family life, may these needles sew safety around me and mine.

Place the nails into the jar and say, As the nails in our home pierce the wood to hold our home strong, may these nails pierce all negativity and hold it safely away from us.

Place the broom straw into the jar and repeat: As the broom in my home sweeps away dirt, so may these straws sweep negativity away from this home and its inhabitants.

Add the herb and say: (Name of herb/herbs) strengthens this protection charm.

With the addition of the dirt from your yard say: This soil binds this jar to my home and property.

Pour in the liquid until the jar is almost completely filled, and it’s covered all of your ingredients. Hold the jar, concentrating on your feelings of protection toward your family, pets, and property, and say: Let this wine (urine) drown all evil that would seek to touch me and mine.

Some questions and thoughts for you.

I’m watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the topic of souls seem very big in this show.

It appears that the soul is the piece of a person that in inherently good, innocent and pure. Without it the person becomes violent and evil.

What do you think a soul is? Do you believe in the soul?

My personal beliefs is the the soul is our mind. It is our being. It is the connection of the magical stream through the universe and our biologically earthly bodies. It is neither good nor bad. It encases all of our experiences and memories. When we die that piece of us returns to the universe and enters the collective mind of the universe. It will be dissolved, experience absorbed and be remade into a new one.

Send some positivity ✨️

My cat is in alot of pain and we just got home from the ER vet. We are doing a watch of him tonight.

A single bird wing found outside.

I’m starting to do some nesting.

And interior decorating.

I need some help here witch friends.

My therapist suggested that some of my issues I have could be… spiritual? She said that I might be sensitive to energies or vibes to things from the other place. I’m not sure. I’ve never explored that and I don’t know how.

Does anyone know where to start? Or would be willing to listen to my experiences and give me some advice?

Honestly I just need to know if I’m crazy or not.

In Irish mythology, Brigid is the daughter of the Dagda and had two sisters also named Brigid and is part of the Tuatha de Danann, the supernatural Irish race. The three sisters made up the triple aspect of the one goddess: Brigid of the hearth, Brigid of the forge and Brigid of Inspiration. She is a goddess ofspring, fertility, family, the hearth, childbirth, fire, blacksmiths, scholars, physicians, prophets, healing, poetry, occult knowledge, and justice. She was said to be born at sunrise and is often depicted with solar rays coming out of her head, making her one of the Irish solar deities alongside Lugh. It is said that wherever she walks four leaf clovers and flowers will grow. She also created the tradition of “keening” when her son Ruadan died in battle, a song-like wail used by women at funerals. In some cases she is also the goddess of sacred wells, springs and healing waters.

History

Her name comes in different spellings like Brig, Brighid, Brigit, or Brigid but it means “Exalted one” or “Fiery arrows”. She is a goddess of Pre-christian Ireland but versions of her are found all over Europe; she has ties to Brigantia, a warrior goddess of the Brigantes tribe of Britain. She was a beloved goddess of the Celts and has survived through centuries including the Christianization of Ireland and the rest of Europe where most traces of Druidism and Paganism were forgotten. The people of Ireland loved her so much and refused to let her be demonized by the church -like the rest of the gods- that they converted her into a saint known as St. Brigid of Kildare. There are also three rivers named after her one in Ireland, Wales and England: Brigit, Braint and Brent. The river that runs through Wales is known to have healing properties.

Imbolc

Also known as Brigid’s day, Candlemas or St. Brigid’s feast, Imbolc is one of the four fire festivals in Celtic paganism and celebrates the return of spring. Since Brigid is the goddess of spring and was said to go away during the winter, people would light a candle in honor of her return. Offerings of milk, bread, and corn cakes were set out and a seat at the dinner table was left open for her presence.  Cows and sheep were seen as sacred to the goddess because they would provide milk for the town during the cold months and they would give birth around Imbolc. This festival celebrated the Maiden aspect of Brigid and young women would carry corn dollies dressed in white which represented the goddess. The women would also dress in white and attend a special feast for Imbolc where young suitors could mingle with the ladies. Imbolc is a time of fertility, cleansing and the light returning after a long winter.

I’d love to hear your opinions on this. I plan to simply put it, banish someone from my life and I want to include the social media action in the ritual. Has any of you experience with this?
Plan is that during the ritual, while saying the spell, I will remove/unfriend the person in question and block them too.

I’ll gladly hear your opinions about this, by reblogging, answering or sending me a message :)

May stars shine bright upon your paths!

Hello everyone! I began this little series withLithaback in June, so it’s now time to continue my last minute sabbats series! As always, before we get started, I just want to note that not all Pagans celebrate the Sabbats, and not all witches celebrate the Sabbats either. I by no means am telling anyone that they need to celebrate the sabbats to have a full or valid practice. If you do celebrate the sabbats, however, here is some information about Samhain, including a prayer that I wrote in honor of the Sabbat:

Samhain

When: October 31st

Other names: Halloween, All Hallows Eve, Hallowmas

What: Samhain marks the last harvest and, for some observers, a spiritual “new year.” It is often seen as a time to honor the dead and/or the cycle of death and rebirth.

Colors: Black, red, orange, brown, purple, grey

God/desses: Hekate, The Morrighan, Persephone, Hades, Osiris, Freyja, Anubis, any death/underworld gods or “crone” goddesses

Herbs/plants: Apples, pumpkins, vegetables & fruits of the season, heather, mandrake, thistle, pomegranate, grain, allspice, wormwood, sage, clove, cinnamon

Gems/crystals/stones: Obsidian, onyx, jet, garnet, amethyst, bloodstone, smoky quartz, ruby, hematite

Ideas for celebration: Divination, spiritwork, dumb suppers, graveyard visits (be respectful!!!!), Halloween-y activities (pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating etc.), honoring ancestors or deceased relatives, honoring animals, meditation

A Samhain Prayer:

To the guardians of death, I pray– Hades, Persephone, Anubis, Freyja, and all others– please bring peace to those who have passed. On this night, ease their sufferings and allow them safe passage, that they may finally be at peace. To our ancestors and deceased loved ones, be kind and allow them gentle rest from earthly life. And finally, bring honor to the animals who have died that I may eat, for I look to their strength with respect and honor. I ask that you hold these departed souls in your caring arms and guide them to safety and rest. Thank you for your kindness, and, when my time comes, I shall go willingly to your arms and sleep in your eternal strength.

I hope you have a happy Samhain and that you found this post helpful! Look out for more last minute sabbat posts in the future :) If you have any questions, feel free to send me an ask! To see the previous last minute sabbat post on Mabon, click here.

If you do celebrate the sabbats, however, here is some information about Mabon, including a prayer that I wrote in honor of the Sabbat and a little summary of my personal Mabon plans:

Mabon

When: Around September 21st (fall equinox)

Other names: Autumn/fall equinox

What:Mabon is the celebration of the Fall Equinox and the second harvest. Falling near American Thanksgiving, it is also seen as a time to give thanks for the bounties of the first harvest. For many Wiccans and Pagans who follow the Hellenic pantheon, this is seen as the time when Persephone leaves Demeter to descend to the Underworld with Hades.

Colors: Brown, gold, bronze, darker reds/oranges/purples

God/desses:Persephone, Demeter, Hades, Pomona, Morrigan, Freyr, Thor, Innana (not sure if Innana is from a closed culture or not? can someone please verify?)

Herbs/plants: Pomegranates, apples, acorns, grains, pinecones, corn, squash, pumpkins, sage, rose, seeds

Gems/crystals/stones:Yellow agate, amethyst, amber, citrine, yellow topaz, sapphire

Ideas for celebration: Big feasts or meals with family and friends are great for Mabon. Celebrations of balance or thanksgiving, nature walks/meditation, giving food or help to animals or people in need. Apple-picking, gardening, cooking.

My Mabon Prayer:

Oh many deities of the autumn equinox, who have been known as Persephone, Demeter, Hades, Pomona, Morrigan, Freyr, Thor– I offer you this prayer of thanks, lifting up my heart in gratitude for your many blessings. Thank you for the harvest, which brings food to those who are hungry. Your rains purify me. Your bounty nourishes me. Your skies surround me and watch over me in times of fear. For these blessings, I thank you. In this Mabon season, please bless those who are less fortunate than I. Bless the fallen animals, who have died that I may eat– I thank them for their beauty, strength, and sacrifice. To the animals who are hungry, forgotten, or abused by their owners– send your loving protection that they may be blessed and lead to safety. Bless all of the people who will spend this Mabon season hungry or cold– lead them also to safety and splendor. In your name, I pray that those who are less fortunate may be blessed and protected on this day. With much gratefulness, so mote it be.

My Mabon Plans:

I will not be celebrating Mabon this year, in all truthfulness. I’m recently having troubles with my faith and am looking into various religions. I don’t think that it’s fitting for me to celebrate Mabon when I don’t feel solid with my faith. I’ll still be continuing this series, nonetheless, since I know that it is very informational for some people.

I hope you have a happy Mabon and that you found this post helpful! Look out for more last minute sabbat posts in the future :) If you have any questions, feel free to send me an ask! To see the previous last minute sabbat post on Lammas, click here.

∆Quick and easy tea for Self Love∆

  • Chamomile tea
  • Maple Syrup
  • Vanilla
  • Cinnamon

Steep your tea and enchant the cup and tea itself. Slowly add the maple syrup to sweeten your thoughts towards yourself. Add the vanilla to soothe you and bring happiness. Lastly add in the cinnamon to draw positivity and encouragement to yourself. Then drink and focus on all the ingredients and what they are bringing to you and how they are helping you.

Stay safe and many blessings

∆Starting spirit work∆

When starting spirit work the best thing to remember is to never give up. There’s going to be many blocks and struggles for some, but that’s okay, we learn and grow from these. Also be aware of what thoughts you may have coming from your ego. ‘I’ll never be able to do that’, 'I can’t do this’ are a couple toxic examples, but any thought regarding you not being enough in any way shape or form can also add to blocking you and your spirit work. A great place to start would be by beginning contact with entities closest to you, a god that you’ve always revered, passed relatives that you knew personally and/or your own spirit guides. Starting small and close to you is the most important thing to begin with.

Energy work and meditation with anxiety and attention or focus issues can thoroughly be frustrating. I personally have suffered from the same struggles, however the one type of meditation/energy work that I found easiest to keep my focus is what I’d consider ‘interactive meditations’. My personal favorite being the energy breathing technique.

This technique is learning to focus on your energy and breath and expanding your energy as you breathe in and shrink ingyour energy as you breathe out.

You can come up with your own or find others that incorporate your continued focus and practice with those. Remember that starting slow and with short goals is always important. Set a timer for one to three minutes at first and get confident in that, then continue to slowly add more time to your goal.

*Side note* Don’t be hard on yourself when you lose focus, just breathe and reground yourself and refocus, even taking a break and going to drink some water can help too! Just be kind to yourself. <3

Is spirit work dangerous?

In short, yes, it can be, spirit work can absolutely be dangerous and most likely will be for most individuals at least at some point. However there are ways to protect yourself and bring these negative possibilities down, such as, putting up barriers around yourself and your energy, doing a reading on the spirit work you’re thinking about doing before doing it, take precautions and ask them many questions in order to break down a possible facade, envoke protective guides, gods and spirits that you have previously trusted to protect you. Even setting up early warning systems is possible as well. For example, keep in mind the work you’re about to do for at least two to three days, and ask your guides to show you signs of how they feel towards it. If you know the name, nature or type of being that you are going to come into contact with, ask your trusted entities about them. They can much safer take a look at their energy and intentions than you can.

(I can also do a much deeper post into spirit work and it’s dangers if wanted as well)

∆Witchy Reminder∆

Depending on what you personally believe in, no life is truly lost. You can always send love, energy, helpful spirits and protection to lives that have passed on, as well as give newly lost life’s the strength they need and a lovely road for them to continue on their journey.

What do you wanna learn about witchcraft, spirits and energy?

I truly desire to give all of you the most useful information I possibly can, so what would you like to see me research and post about? Feel free to message anonymously, DM me or just reply to this post. (〜^∇^)〜♡

∆Witchy Reminder∆

Never stop learning. Every day is a new chance to experience and learn more, whether that’s of the world or of oneself. And if you are teaching others, always encourage questions!!! It’ll get you thinking from perspectives you otherwise never would look into.

∆Witchy Reminder∆

Always remember that most spiritual experiences won’t always mirror those that others have. The universe, spirit (as a whole), spirit guides, deietes and so on, will usually prefer to speak or show you things in ways that you’ll understand. So don’t compare your experiences to other’s. How you perceive this world and the next and all the meanings, symbols, messages and signs of both will all affect your personal experiences.

1. Philosophy: A worldview with emphasis on preservation of the environment, the sacredness of all life therein and our place in that schism. Brings together and does not separate the spiritual from the physical, as one is a part of the other.

2. Connection with Nature: The practices and eight celebrations through the year help us to connect with the natural cycle of the earth. Connecting with our spiritual self and the spirits of animals, plants, stones, water, other places and people we develop a sense of community with the natural world around us, finding our place in it and it’s place in us.

3. Healing: Through ancient practices, both spiritual and physical (as well as emotional) we bring healing not only to ourselves but to the world around us and those that live in it.

4. Life as a Journey: The journey of life is marked with initiations, rites of passage into the new stages of life. Like marriage, birth, death, graduation and life achievements. We mark our personal growth, and how we measure our place in the greater community.

5. Openness to other realities: Through certain practices and altering our state of conscious awareness we are brought into contact with the Otherworld. Many shamanic practices and ritual are used to guide us to these altered states, wherein we learn about ourselves and the world around us, greater connecting to the spiritual in ourselves as well as in other things and people.

6. Developing Potential: Druidry opens us up to growth, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, as well as developing psychic and intuitive abilities. The opening of our minds, hearts, and eyes aids in us reaching our fullest potential.

7. The gift of Magic: Teaches us how to tap into the magic of life, the magic of simply being alive. Through visualization and manifestation we can find wisdom, healing and inspiration, not only for ourselves but in service of the world and others.

  • Commonly referred to as DruidismorDruidry, both terms are incorrect.
  • ADruidis a political title within the Celtic Polytheistic religions equivalent to that of a priest/priestess.
  • A practitioner of Celtic Polytheism is not called a Druid. Not unless that practitioner is a priest or counselor to other Celtic Polytheists.
  • Despite common belief, Wicca, and Neo-Druidism are technically not Celtic religions; but rather Celtic inspired or influenced religions.
  • Celtic Polytheism is not witchcraft. A practitioner of Celtic Polytheism is never called a witch or a wizard.
  • Celtic Polytheism is actually a family of religions rather than a singular religion itself.
  • The religion branches are Gaelic Polytheism,Brythonic Polytheism,Gallaecian Polytheism&Celtiberian Polytheism,Gaulish Polytheism, and Pictish Polytheism.
  • Each of these religions have regional differences. For example, the gods and stories of Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, and the Isle of Man are mostly the same or similar with minor differences.
  • All of the Celtic Polytheistic religions are technically extinct, however many stories from Ireland, and Wales have survived in particular.
  • Modern Celtic religions are referred to as Celtic ReconstructionistPolytheism, or simply Celtic Reconstructionism.
  • There is not a common pantheon of gods, as there were many different gods in each religion. While some gods appear in multiple religions with different names, majority of Celtic gods are unique to their branches.

I am not a witch because of my religion, I am a witch because of my craft.
