Ethan watched as the creature disgustingly crawled over the walls, the wet slaps of its tendrils filling the void of silence where there wasn’t a crumble of rubble falling from the recent debris.
Heisenberg straightened up his form, preparing for the battle to finally commence. Watching as Sybil eagerly jumped from wall to wall, ready to shred Miranda as much as he was.
“Find the baby. We’ll split up. You and Sybil can take east and we’ll take the west. If you find the kid first, signal is somehow. Chances are she’s with that bitch. Don’t try to take her on by yourself.” He instructed
Part of Mia didn’t want to leave Ethan and Heisenberg behind, but if he was telling them to split up, she would do so. It wasn’t as though they would be in poor hands – they had a fucking tank of all things. They would be fine. With Sybil with her, Mia would most likely be alright too. No one has been able to put her down yet, and it was unlikely Miranda would have some secret way of killing her.
With a nod, Mia and Sybil chose a hallway and went down. She was sure to stick to the walls and ceiling, figuring that she could surprise Miranda more than sticking to the floor. She was able to cover a lot of ground, tendrils slapping wildly as she propelled herself through the hallways. There was no real strategy to trying to find them, instead dashing through hallways and rooms wildly as fast as she could.
They split directions, much to everyone’s dismay, but they would cover more ground that way. Plus, with Sybil scaling the walls, she would be able to wipe out any threat beside Miranda, be it lycans or weird, demented zombie creatures.
Ethan and Karl continued in their pursuit, smashing into god knows what, the point of being quiet being thrown out of the window, no sense in being silent when their presence was no doubt very clearly known.
Soon, coming into one of the open doorways that split open into a large, clear open space somehow empty and void, a single pillar stood in the centre, a baby bundled up in a raggy blanket whining upon it.
“Rose!” Ethan cried.
